Extremely appreciate the comments and help. I am following the feed chart they provide. The system is a 2 part beg plus a cal mag . Culture solutions is from current culture the biggest rdwc manufacturer they state it's the cleanest nutes you can buy and made for rdwc. They state the system is so efficient you have to be careful about running to high of ppm and start you off at 100ppm week one of veg. But the swing is not manageable in my experience so far. I am going to flush the system and try again. Would it be wise to increase the cal mag to see if that helps? With only 100ppm you have zero buffer.
You should be using a nutrient strength appropriate for your light intensity. Good job on using r/o, you'll have great results with it. I'm not familiar with culture solutions, do they say anything about their mix being calcium or nitrogen deficient? You'll probably find better results supplementing magnesium with Magnesium sulfate (epsom salts)
RDWC is a roots-in type hydro system. Best results will be obtained through proper reservoir management techniques. I have a thread here which outlines how to do this, I've also posted the same details in a few DWC threads now. It's a rather simple method, just an often overlooked part of 'Hydro.'
RDWC works on the same principles. You'll get smashing results. :D
Ya definitely I have 11 4 ich air stones connected to two 950gph pumpsAre you running air through your tank if so that will raise your ph .
I mean with dwc you have to run air since roots are always submerged. Do you think it's the ratio? Like too much air is the problem? Thank you in advanceThat could be your problem .
I saw an excellent article on here the other day about air stones. I think they went to waterfall technique because it still adds plenty of do without adding hot contaminated air to the root zone. And theyre results were fantastic.I mean with dwc you have to run air since roots are always submerged. Do you think it's the ratio? Like too much air is the problem? Thank you in advance
Word. We need some @FooDoo up in here.I saw an excellent article on here the other day about air stones. I think they went to waterfall technique because it still adds plenty of do without adding hot contaminated air to the root zone. And theyre results were fantastic.
That's it? Veg A and B? What are you using for water? What's the Rez temp? What's the RH?Wicked appreciate everyone's help on this. Great community. I'm using the culture solutions line from current culture
I use glass bead air stones as they do not seem to affect the ph. In the dwc buckets. I floom my rez's
Do you mean ditch the stones all together and have no air except a few in the res? I'm using r.o . Rh 50-65 avg room 70-75. The company recommends .2 100ppm etc for week 1. These rooted clones are still babies .For me, I'd take all of your airstones out of your plant buckets (I put them in my control bucket but plenty of people don't). Then change the Rez out. Add some Veg A+B at half recommend dose and add cal mag at recommended dose. Maybe come out around 0.5ec or 250/500ppm. Make sure your temps are on point. Put your pH at 5.9 and let them go for a couple days. They should rebound. Then slowly increase ppm and make sure pH stays in 5.6-6.1 range.
Butttttt, take my advice with a grain of salt.
Yes. That's exactly what I mean.Do you mean ditch the stones all together and have no air except a few in the res? I'm using r.o . Rh 50-65 avg room 70-75. The company recommends .2 100ppm etc for week 1. These rooted clones are still babies .
