Ro Water Needed Around Flushing

I have only used reverse osmosis water and am about to start flushing and was wondering if I need to use RO water for the flush. I have only ever given it the reverse osmosis and was thinking it was needed to continue but don't have a system and have been filling the water up at the water store so I was wondering if I could cheat with using tap water for the flush but thought that could be the crucial time for RO water. Any assistance is much appreciated. Thank you in advance

as long as you ph it you should be fine. i grow in hydro buckets. i flush every weeks i use tap water ph'd to 5.5 -6.5. are you in hydro or soil?
