Word, I actually don't mind running the RO and adding the CalMag as I've found certain kushes just eat it up more and some don't even need it. So the ones that don't get it the standard amount so I can keep tabs, and the heavy feeders get it accordingly. I only run 5ml/g but will feed my OG's, chems around 10-15ml/g in full bloom as I know they will eat it up.

I don't mind the tap, but when its ppm is around 150 and my finished PPM from RO and nutes is only 700, I'd rather feed that extra 150 then waste it on contaminants.

Yeah I'm stoked about the Age Old, hopefully its something that just isnt as talked about. I like the fact that its organic but doesn't drop ph ridiculous amounts.... like FF or Roots, or Organicare.... My current regimen is Age Old Bloom, Organic CalMag, the Roots Excel, Age Old Kelp, and Ancient Amber (humic acid)... diggin it so far. Got a bunch going into bloom so we shall see!!

I've run the AO Grow in hydro, with good results. It was not the only thing in my nute solution, but I was happy with it. I used it exclusively for a 2 year run with only AK-47 from 2004-6 in soil, also. That silly AK thrives on abuse, I tell ya...lol.
I mixed my nutrients in my super soil too hot, I believe, along with not allowing enough time for the mix to "cure". After flushing my Zilvermist and Rocket Gals, I transplanted ZM1 from a 4 gallon pot into a 15 gallon container with a 50/50 mix of HF and OF, with a 2" layer of hydroton on the bottom of the pot to help with drainage. I mixed extra dolomite lime and a little azomite in the new soil. I added no other nutrients as there are amendments in the bottom of the 4 gal soil- "super soil". If she shows any deficiencies I'll be reaching for the AO Bloom, lol. We'll see how she responds- if she does well, I'll put ZM2 in a 15 gallon pot also. I did finally get my runoff up to 6.27; it was stuck at 5.7 forever.
Any other suggestions? I also added a little dolomite to the loose soil in the tops of my pots, to help buffer pH. I'm hoping the girls aren't set back too much. Glad i have clones for each one of these gals! Peace

:) nice job, buddy. I hope the smoke is as nice as the pics! (mine was pretty close, lol). I'm totally raccoon-eyed with a sunburn from the Rockies game today. Or maybe I should say I watched the Rockies take a lesson today on the baseball diamond... In any case, next time i come up I'll holler beforehand. Peace

Wow... Sick work and mad props to you true grit and altitudefarmer! Looks like a happy harvest is about to be cured. :cool Any suggestions on pollen collection and storage? I doubt I will be doing any hard core breeding projects, but maybe a little scientific pollen chucking...

Trimmed up the last of the indi last night and they are both in jars.... yield wasn't huge maybe 4-6oz between the two, lots of little popcorn buds so its gonna make some good bubble!!

Sati- smells like fruits and berries while curing.
Indi- musky, skunky, almost roadkill wit out the super stink...will see how she cures!!

Shady, I typically do a collection of the male pollen by letting the male flowers start to drop their pollen. I then try and find the ones that are about to pop or I just gently knock the branch and it falls down. I collect it in a ceramic ramken, but just about anything you can clean will work. Even a piece of paper. I then sift it through a strainer onto a piece of tile and then scrape it off into a plastic container. I'll put the plastic container in the fridge for 2-3 days before I freeze it to let moisture out of the pollen. freeze it and then use it when you need it. No need to keep males around once you have enough pollen. I'll put some in a plastic bag, wrap it around a branch and shake it to do my pollination. that's it!

I appreciate the info Mr. Sputnik! I got a decent amount of pollen, but accidentally got one bag a little moist and the pollen clumped a bit... :doh It seems to be dry now, but we shall see what happens in a month or so...

Latest Dream...

Here's a few shots of the latest RMD to come down in my garden. I pushed these girls to 66 days in the bloom room, and they're gorgeous. And not one single nanner. They could have been chopped around day 57, and i don't think there would have been any complaints, but I'm going to have some very happy patients...

Nice yield; nice meds!

This is the next RMD to come through; a monster. For some reason this one went absolutely crazy in spite of being in only a 4 gallon bucket. Quite possibly I have my super soil recipe dialed in... the trick will be to keep her from getting root bound in the next 5 1/2 weeks...

Exactly what I was thinking... My entire regimen will consist of Age Old Organics- grow, bloom, kelp, and that humic/fulvic you mentioned, with a fair amount of super soil in the bottom of my pots. I have never had such an easy organic grow as i do now. I'm feeling pretty happy, as i grew hydro for years and this was the last frontier to master...lol.
I should state that I also use molasses and Great White in addition to the super soil amendments.
