I have been reading every1's projects for awhile now. I think its time for me to share my project. Hopefully someone might see something i'm missing and point me in the right direction. I love the nug porn, hopefully with some advise I will have some to show.

Here is a little about my space.

I built a room in my garage. its roughly 7'x11'. I split that into 2 rooms. One is 6.5'x6 (flowering room) and the other is 5.5'x6'(closet/utility room).
Rooms were built with 2x4 frame R-13 insulation in the walls and then foam Reflectix board (R-4.5) on top of that on the inside flower room. The exposed wall in the garage was wrapped in Foam Reflectix board (R-4.5) and OSB on top of that. I did not insulate the floor of the rooms. I put down a rubber pond liner on the floor to make it easier to clean up. Above the the rooms I insulated the attic with R-30 insulation.

In the utility room/closet, I have 2 1k quantum ballasts mounted on the wall. I have a clone cabinet there, its a husky cabinet(24x30) with panda plastic wrapped in the inside with 2ft 4bulb T5. this room stays about 77 with no a/c. This summer its 100+ in the garage.

I plan on putting that garage door insulation on the Garage door. Trying to insulate the rest of attic above garage with R-30 insulation.

My flower room is setup with 2 1k Liquid Lumen reflectors. I have 3/4 pipe coming out of the res. to a manifold then it goes down to 1/2 braided tubing feeding the LL. The water returns to the res via 1" manifold All the pipes are wrapped in pipe insulation. I have a 100 gal vertical res in the corner of the room. its wrapped with a R-11 water heater blanket. I have a 1/2hp(6000btu) chiller on a shelf above the res. i built a box with foamboard around the exhaust and vent into the attic with a 400cfm fan attached sucking the heat into the attic. I also have a single hose Port A/C (12000Btu) that runs the whole time the lights are on. The Port A/C is vented into the attic also. I ran this setup in the winter and I was fine. But now Its a different story.

I am running 1k LL trying to keep the temps under 82 degrees. A/C runs the whole time. when the chiller kicks on it stays on till after the light turns off.

Sorry about the rambling kinda stonered out.

I want to run CO2; if my A/C and Chiller are venting into the attic the whole time lights are on Isn't that a waste of CO2?

Should i lift the res up off the ground and put a insulated pad for it sit on?

Should My res for the LL be completely sealed?

Anyone who runs water cooled lights what do you set your chiller temps to?

Should i pickup a bigger chiller or split A/C?

I am trying to find out if its better to continue on the Water-cooled light path or go to back to cooltubes and a/c?

If you have the ability to build a lunar lander in the garage... say go for it bro! Just put some plants around it for scenery...

And a second vote for some pics... sounds bad ass... ;-)

You have so much heat venting into the attic i would have an attic fan sucking air out one of the side vents of the house.
Reservoirs spaced off cold floor is when that water feeds plants, not lights so that dont matter unless u mean the rez for the plants.

thanks for the input hiboy. The first time i tried to work in the attic in the summer, I damn near fell out up. The wife got here bathroom exhaust fans lol. I installed an attic fan after that.

I took a couple pics in a hurry last night. please ignore the mess.

First pic is res with water heater insulation wrapped around.

next is with res shelf with chiller on it with diy vented box. and i think you can see some of the manifold i built.

i live on a dairy farm and we had issues with our cooler over heating , we had to vent the cooler fins directly outside , you need fresh air to get to the chiller fins so it can dissipate the heat the system builds up

Thanks NBfrost, gotta get more fresh air to cooling fins, since the room its sucking from is 80+ makes total sense.
Ideally i want to get atleast a 1hp ChillKing chiller mount it outside next to my A/C and move my res out of my room and into the closet. maybe change the port a/c out with a icebox w/ themostat.

Anyone know of a better chiller then ChillKing for the money? those bastards are expensive but worth it.

FUCK ASS

Got home yesterday after a super stressful day at work. I smoke a bowl and go check on my babys ........ FUCKING BOTH MY PUMPS ARE OUT. no water cycling through the lights. the fucking chiller is running without any water running through it. i check the chiller and the heat exchanger shell is fuckin ice cold.
so I am out my two pumps and i think my chiller is trash. Im pretty much fucked this whole run. AAAAGGGHHHHH!!!!! Smoked 2gm of hash out of LW bubbler still didnt sleep for shit.

What are the best continuous water pump for chiller use??

I took everything down. I gonna recheck insulation in the room. get the portable a/c checked out. I gotta wait for a bit to have enough cash to replace all the equipment that broke. back to the sidelines again.

Thanks man. back to reading and learning more. just a little pissed about losing this run. I was about to save a couple as cuttings. This might actually be a good thing, this way i can stabilize the environment of the room.

plan on building a 3X6 table to lift plants up off ground and add storage. and planning on buying an ecoplus commerical 1.5 hp chiller and add some ice box heat exchanger. maybe build an insulated floor in flower room. gotta get a new ac

add insulation to the rest of the attic and insulate the garage door.

To me it sounds like you would benefit greatly from a mini split system. I have spent the last few days reading the A/C sticky and those portable units "suck" more than they "blow" cool air. The units themselves produce heat in the room they are trying to cool which is counter productive to say the least. I am sorry to hear about the pump failures. These things are what keep me 99% organic with a couple DWC buckets to marvel at in the corner. Best of luck with your future endeavors.
