Okay my plants all looked beautiful. It was ready for a weekly water change changed water in this case with new 5gal pales. Normal nutrients as week before for veg. Cyco gro. B1. Zhme. Dr repair.. Within a frw3 hrs plants started to claw up and twist.. I check PH and it was in high 6s so dropped it to around 5.5 or so. How do I fix this. Reading up it say change water clean reservoir. But that's what caused this so im not surenif it was shock from the fresh colder new water with slightly higher on or root rot

i have a six site undercurrent. i use mycostop at one gram per 35 gallons every flush till week 6 of flower. works well for me been doing for 5 years. after harvest when i pull net pot for cleanup roots are white.

not a expert in hydro but i think it might be. A big no no is that see through container, cant have any light in your water resorvoir. Wait for the hydro expert to have a look and tell you how to start treating them. Meanwhile you can start painting that resorvoir black or cover it

I guess my question is i dont think it from light or anything like that being it happened literally a few hrs after I changed water.. Maybe the new water was to cold or ph was to high for that amount of time? Now I know I need to fix the clear tub just saying with how it happened I don't see that being the issues

Alright I see what your saying, must be something related to the water change then! Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will take a look soon!

Hoping honestly it was just poor prep on my end I shouldve check all levels before transporting. I did the opposite I transported then added nuts and adjusted PH. Hopefully i just shocked em from going to a different enviornment I just reset all nuts and oh I'll check back at leveled tonight to see what changes there are

Judging from the pictures it's not nutrient staining. But im not convinced it's root rot although it does look like it. Is there a slime on the roots? Do the roots smell musty or a little like sulfur?

Tips for res change. We all adjust nutrients and ph but temperature is important too. When I do a res change I make sure my water is within +/- 2F. Root rot can happen when the root system gets stressed be it physical damage, chemical damage, etc.

Also I prefer to do res change outs of 50% max on a live system. Depending on the system size you may need to do them more often. This makes things less disruptive to the root and microbes. Especially using chlorinated water sources. Because if you are in a live system you are all but destroying all the beneficial microbes when doing 100% changes.

If you are in a sterile system this is of no concern and 100% water changes are fine.

Can you link your hydro microbes for me I can't seem to find em.

They aren't much slimy and no odor just browned a little 3 of my chemicals do have a brown tint.. Water temp was definitely further off than that by a bit. And ph was high a cpl hrs. All of the plantsbdont it some mpre than other but directly after the water change.

Roots look fine there. What are you running in the res to control pathogens? Any bacteria cultures, h2o2, bleach etc?

Would you recomend using h202 or bleach as a precautionary measurment? Im only running water and nutes

Yes either a bacteria/enzyme treatment like hydrogaurd, great white etc. I personally like hydrogaurd.

Or run sterile with 29% food grade hydrogen peroxide. 1ml a gal seems to serve people well.

You can't run both. The h2o2 or bleach will kill the bacteria/enzyme

Alright thank you dude, Im on a tight budget right now so will look into adding bleach/chlorine from now on. And sorry to hydro8139 for hijacking your thread!
