Haven't given up totally. Had plenty of tomato branches partially snap at the nodes from the weight of the fruit. And they kept plugging along. I stuck the broken branches in a bucket with some water and Secret Sauce for awhile. Then just a clean water change 2-3 times a day and alternating with a mild nutrient solution/ now and then. Hoping they can still draw water up. Basically treat them like cut flowers and see if they will hold on long enough to ripen a bit. It's a long shot but I've revived virtually dead plants before. The cooler temps may work in my favor here. 🤞

Careening out of control! What the hell rootfarmer? Are you going to cry or are you going to laugh? What you’re gonna do is get your ass out there and start supporting and save what you can! Five years ago I lost my entire grow! I laughed! Because I knew it was my own. Damn fault! L O L! Hang in there!

Just checked the broken branches. The big fan leaves /stems are still turgid top to bottom. They are so close to close enough if I have no other choice to just "chucket in the fucket bucket" and hang them.

I wasn't born with a whole lot of quit. It isn't really possible for me to NOT try. Hell I wouldn't have been out in the rain trying to deal with shit. Lol

I've been thinking about doing a winter grow for awhile. I've considered different possibilities and have made a decision.....finally. I'm going to section off half of my covered patio with some heavy plastic sheeting for a wind/rain barrier. Only doing half so I can still feed birds/critters. I already do this to keep my herbs going year round.

I bought a tent (96x48x80) to put out there. Going to dust off a couple ballasts and hang lights. Use the heat from the lights and cold air to help regulate temps inside. An exhaust fan and passive air intake. Run lights overnight when its coldest out and lights out during the day. I'm thinking Oct- Dec, pause in Jan and Feb when weather is worst then another run March- May. I think it's doable. I guess we'll find out. Lol

Had to take some buds. Caterpillar damage. Caught one trying to burrow into a bud. They are right on cue. So far minimal damage and poop. The Airheadz #1 shouldn't be ready yet, technically but it's super sticky and smells amazing. Wondering if it's going to be a late to flower, early to finish kinda season. My neighbor is already harvesting. But I think that's mainly because of caterpillar damage but he also found aphids while trimming the colas so maybe it's best that he is.

Should be interesting! Can’t wait to watch!

Ikr! It's hard to capture the true colors. Some of the deeper hues are a little dull and muted in pics. But very colorful, nonetheless.

Well my nasturtium trap plant at the edge of my garden has done its job. Totally infested with black bean aphids virtually overnight. Found zero on the girls.

Looks like its time to start bringing in the Blueberry Cupcake and the Guinea Pig.
