End of week 5 of flower. I poured some 35% hydrogen peroxide in all of the reservoirs for each plant to eat up any gunk buildup last week and some of the plants didn't handle it too well. The reservoirs had stagnant water for too long. While I was away two weeks ago the RH spiked past 70% for an extended period of time and slowed down the transpiration rate significantly. This system requires a slow constant flow of water to work. I did hand feed with incredible bulk booster @1 tbsp/gal rate. That's the last of that product for me. I don't think that one is worth it, quite expensive cost per application.

These plants are huge haha. This crop got a bit out of control, vegged for too many weeks. I'm going to be shooting for closer to a 4-6 week veg cycle for future crops. This recent phenohunt I did with a 4 week veg cycle was such a fun crop to grow and incredibly healthy productive plants every stage of growth.

End of week 6 of flower, some plants took a turn for the worst this week. I'm unfortunately going to be taking down a decent amount of plants this week, a couple weeks early because they're just doing so poorly. There's a decent amount of gunk buildup in the lines and I'm honestly looking forward to the next crop for this room. The first run with VegaMatrix has not gone smoothly. I think the beneficial microbes have to be a part of the problem and I would not use those in the future in a nutrient reservoir. It creates a breeding ground for bacteria buildup that clogs these very small valves.

It's not easy scaling up. Taking care of close to 100 plants in various stages of life while working a full time job is not easy. We'll get there. This crop won't be a total lost. Plenty of resin produced on these flowers for concentrates. Gotta figure out this autowatering system to significantly reduce the handwatering time required to keep the plants happy and healthy. I don't want to commit to 100% hydroponics until I have an automatic backup generator system setup.

I'm looking into new nutrients to use for the next run for this room. I want to stick to organic based nutrients. I reached out to MOFGA yesterday to see if either if these two brands are acceptable. They use a combination of organic and synthetic nutes, but they claim everything is organically based, but neither company has any organic certifications.

This company has the same owner as Gaia Green. They're up in Canada.

This is a brand I've known about for a while now, but have never tried any of their products.

My other 5×10 flower room just started week 2, handwatering VegaMatrix nutes to them without any issues. I don't think the VegaMatrix nutes are the problem. It's the VegaMatrix nutes in the autowatering system that's an issue.

Not an uncommon issue with clogged lines!
I know the Grotek line up is used alot here in hydroponics!
I ran some Current Culture tubs for a couple years and only used their nutrient line up.
Had decent success, but absolutely no build ups or scuzzy water.....ever!
Probably tougher to find all organic line up!?

Yes, this is very difficult. I strongly believe in well grown organic cannabis being superior in aroma, flavor, and potency to synthetic nutrient fed cannabis. I'm trying to grow the best possible flower. I like that Lotus line a lot and they have a calculator for cost per crop on their site that claims their products are extremely cost effective. With electricity so expensive we have to be efficient in every facet of the grow.

End of week 7 of flower
Harvested the four Thousand Oaks, four Flintstones, and two of the MAC plants this week. They were pretty sticky so I think they'll be alright for concentrates. I took off all of the bigger fan leaves and put the flowers in a freezer bag. They're in the chest freezer for now.

This entire room is going to be made into concentrates over the next couple of months. Hopefully learned enough from this grow that the next crop in this room will be significantly better!
