Does anyone see a benefit to running a sugar like CES Sugaree in a sterile DWC using Jacks 321?

I run Jack's through Blumats. I wouldn't put sugar in my rezzes. If you want that stuff in your pots, I'd top feed it periodically (in low quantities).

plant cant take in those huge molecules soo it will never go in the plant.you need some life to eat it and shit it for the plant.
only thing that will happen is your ph will go crazy

That was what I was wondering was if the plant would uptake any of the sugar for itself

I know normally the sugar is to feed the microbes, but that the plant can sometimes use some of the carbs for itself too. Makes sense the plant can't uptake the larger sugar molecules.

I've read that Nectar for the Gods "Carbon" is a pre-digested sugar molecule and a lot more bio-available to the plant without the microbes needing to break it down. But I guess if I'm running sterile, I don't want to use their sugar either.

I also know that the plant should be producing it's own sugars through metabolizing light and growing

Just wasn't sure if sugar was still of any benefit in a sterile DWC

So I'll leave it out.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!
