Running hps and mh

Does any one use dual bulb set up with hps and mh? Ive been thinking of running 600/600 or maybe 600/400. Anyone have a guess on yeild incress with out changing anything else? Im know quality will go up. But not sure if the yeild would get even close to double with double the watts on the same area. :mysterymachine:

I run a mix of 1000w MH and 400w HPS.
there are even bulbs that come with both hps and mh in one.


I don't know about statistics or numbers but I can definetly vouch for the mix over of just MH or just HPS for sure.

It is best to use both mh and hps at the same time but only really 3 or more lightds(2 hps to 1 mh) seem as your only running two lights id go for dule spectrum light bulbs like growlux or sunmaster:)

Not safely if at all, w00dy.

I think those dual arcs are some of the coolest thing I have seen in a long time and worth the spectral distribution instead of the higher lumen output. I think the next ballast will be a 1000w digital. Just so I can run these. Though I haven't heard of many people running them. Looks and sounds good to me.

I use a 1000 watt HPS and a 600 watt MH in a single large hood with a 6' light mover. I use the same setup, for Veg and 12/12 and am happy with the results.
