Agreed. But I think that holds true for most products whether organic or not. Chemical corporations are some of the wealthiest out there. If they know you need it and are willing to pay, the sky's the limit. I had a relative who worked in accounting for a manufacturer of medical products. Said they made some liquid that hospitals used, was basically a benign substance. Said it cost them 30 cents a gallon to make. They charged the hospital $300 a gallon. Then of course, the hospital puts their profits on it. Whaddya gonna do? :arghh:

Same with grow equipment and nutes. You know, something like CNS17 for an example, retail shops pay only $30 per 5 gallon bucket, but they sell it for around $130

Not the same mark up as your relatives companies mark up, but same kinda thing.

Yeah. I hear ya. I called around the other day to see if local shops had Met52 before I found out the Biowar I ordered had that in too. $250!!! for the same thing online for $100. A bit of a gouge. They know people are having this problem and are taking advantage. They were sold out of it too! Duly noted in my memory banks and I won't be doing business with them. I don't expect them to not make money on it, they have bills to pay too. But come on!

I agree the iso alc. is a concern, but at the dilution used I have no clue what the ppm is of the iso...yet

An easy way to figure it out would be to brew up a small batch of tea, dilute the product according to directions, then apply it to the tea. Scoping before and after, of course.

Mine are all looking very "Up" today as far as health! Cept the 2 I cut down of course;)

There are still at least 2 sfv's that are so stunted I may get them outta my site as well, but they do have nice new green growth now, but they will likely not put out much weight, and if they are a risk because of being weaker (maybe succeptible to bugs again?) I may go ahead and kill them too. I am trying to wait a nother couple days to decide.

But the good news is I am pretty sure I am beating them. And I did not have to use avid (yet); though It certainly, I feel, would have been a faster response back to health if I had.

Looking so good there ken! Glad you are happy again!

Id spray the girls daily bro at 4am before the sun comes up, Id hit them with everything in the book, Citrus oil, Neem, Soybean oil, Id switch it up daily, Id put a disposable jump suit on and get knee deep in there, id concentrate on every node and leaf bottowm first and trunk, Id Ferment a kashi mycellium tea and spray with that, For me plant health starts and ends with the soil/Micro life, Got bugs? up the micro life, Got lock out? Up the micro life, Got defiencys? up the micro life, You got 2 weeks Ken to put a beat down on them before you cant spray anymore, Id launch a full blown Assault! Habenaros, Vinegar, FTE's, AACT SPRAY! Predator mites, Lady bugs, fuk it nuke'm, The rubber meets the Rd at the Nodes dude, Soak the nodes! Early am so they can drip dry before sunrise! Cant just lay down and watch them die Phuck that! Id also get a Fogger Ken and set it to run in the middle of the nite, move it nitely, Make your environment NOT pest friendly! Good Luck Dawgy!!!!

Advice from a 100 yr 5th gen farmer in your area Ken.

The key to kill mites is to add 2% oil with the insecticide and spray at night. If there is a heavy infestation you have to spray twice 7 days apart to break the hatch cycle


I know this is a broad statement but you can get rid of any bug if you make it unfriendly for them, its easier to move on for them then to stay and fight, But there lil badass's and they will not back down tell you put them in Ck and tellm whos in charge, Theres a old sayin my Dad used to say! "You dont get up early enough to out smart me" Pull your boots up and get in the trenches Ken! Its you or them! Paint your face, Get in there and go postal on them litle fukers! If you cant harvest well then fuk them they aint gonna eat cause spraying the farm on those bastards and its time to move on! Fogger nitely bro, Piganic is also organic and works, Peppermint spray is good tk, Habenaros, Look up Clackamas Coot! he can kill'm!

This caught my attention. I have 4 plants. 3 are in 20 gallon smart pots, one is in the ground. The 3 in pots are showing signs of a type of mite, I have found eggs but no movement. I believe I may have found some dead spider mites or at least not moving...not positive though. The interesting thing is the one in the ground hasn't shown any stress like the others yet. Granted I have not put the scope on it yet to check for eggs. I'm wondering if there are terrestrial bugs that eat the mites off the in ground plants and pass by the potted ones.

yeah but the key here Ken is to mix it up, they build tolerences, dont let them, And its oil so dont mix it strong, theyll burn, go 3/4 strentgh, spray 1 day with Oil, next with COLD water, almost rinse the plants, wash off the dead mites/Eggs, then spray oil next day different mix different oil, Soybean oil works GREAT, Karanja Oil, Peppermint, Orange, citrus, Neem, Hit nodes, staet at the bottoms, only spray leaf bottoms and stems, stalks, After all bottoms n stems n stalks Then spray tops of leafs at the end, be done before 5:30am so they can dry naturaully before sunrise, watch for burning, rinsing every other day is important, Make a AACT for Spray, UP you micro life, Make a FPE the enzymes will fight for you!!!

more Farmer Advice:

We have one mandarin variety that is a sexual attractant to broad mites. They play havoc on all crops they infect. If that recipe does not work I have a fallback spray but it's a bit on the Darkside

Mine was opposite. Mine in pots (a few 300 gallon smart pots and some in smaller 17 gallon plastic pots) were not affected at all. And honestly for the number of plants I have and their size, only finding 3 plants total with any russets is a blessing

Everything is looking really good in my garden this morning!

Thanks again! I do plan to mix it up!
I gave them 3 kinds of poison already, axamax, avid and fordid
(sorry, I had to do it)
and now, im going to continue with organic methods
Yes, I will make tea!
and,
I have peppermint, lavender, orange, coriander oils for spaying,
I also have Nuke em and Met52
Im going to rinse them off them real good with plain water this evening
and use that Met52 in the morning.
