I believe my soil is a little bit hot. I know the grass loves eating up excess nitrogen. I already have clover.

Here's what I'm thinking...correct me if I'm wrong. Having a combination should regulate nitrogen in the soil...

I also have read that the grass takes off when nitrogen gets high then the clover will take off if it gets low so I'm thinking this will help me better understand where I stand.

I also like the fact that for now I can completely remove clippings of the grass and throw them in compost. This should bring nitrogen down.

Has anyone seen this method utilized? I read about it for establishing lawns.

If like to add I'm utilizing annual Rye grass so I think a thick canopy will end up killing it off.
