4 plants, 4 weeks veg, 4 weeks flower. All came from the same seed packet, germinated, transplanted at the same time, kept in the same environment and on the same light/water/nutrient cycle. I have had a similar range of plants from growing bag-seed. Seems if you spend the kind of money suppliers require for their items they should look and grow pretty much the same.

what kind of seeds did you get? Cannabis seeds are not stable like tomato or corn seeds - you will get several phenotypes from a pack of seeds.. it's like expecting all of your progeny to be identical...

If you are paying upwards of $15 per seed for a specific, advertised strain the expectation of anyone should be uniformity of product. It shouldn't be pay your money, maybe you get what you pay for, maybe not. They got your money, who you going to complain to?

Genetics doesn't really work that way... from seed there will always be some variation especially in today's markets of f1's and f2s. The time it takes to get very uniform plants from seed is a very long process and with clones being so available and pretty much everyone can clone these days means it's not worth it to most breeders and the crosses continue to be pumped out.

So in other words, what you are saying is, people are wasting their money buying seed from dealers because you might or might not get what you see in the advertising. It would be a lot cheaper and easier growing bag-seed.

It is a bit of a gamble but when using seeds from reputable breeders most people find at least one 'keeper' plant per pack of seeds - sometimes several... the idea is that within the pack you will find a good version of the advertised/described strain ... this version is then kept as a mother plant and can provide you with clones for as long as you're willing to keep it alive... hardly a waste of money in my eyes... if you want identical plants you should start with clones..

Agree. Today's most hybrid strains today aren't real hybrids. Polybrid heinze57 mutts all over- and I agree they should be $1 per pack. It doesn't mean they can't be good, just not stable. It's like buying a purebred Labrador Retriever puppy from a reputable breeder-vs buying the kinda part Lab mix from the neighbor. The neighbors mutt pup should be free.
There are places that advertise pure stable strains, but I don't know how legit they are.
