Day 14 into flower

Its looking really good, no smell yet. I got a couple of questions my friends:
  • From what I've read and understand, during the dark period, exposing the plant to cold will insure more dense buds ?

[*]I've got one leaf (last picture) that is hopefully not nute burn or something. It looks more like its dying but could anyone confirm my worries ? I might have given her to many nutes. Its the only leaf on the entire plant like that

Thanks everyone !!

I'm married to a great Italian woman. Said she wanted fresh ingredients. Got basil, rosemary, oregano, and parsley. Everythin from seed except the cannabis :rauch08:

Problem #1

So I found 4 leafs, all near the bottom that have obtained fuckin PM (powdery mildew).

I think my laziness caught up to me...I didn't have the best circulation, was using only a little small non-oscillating fan. I had a feeling there wasn't enough airflow. Plus it was getting pretty warm in there.

I pruned off those leafs affected with the PM and made a solution of milk and water and added an oscillating fan in there. Its a perfect 75F and air flow is gently going over the entire plant.

It was only on side of the plant, and I should have gone with my gut feeling. I knew that side of the plant wasn't getting any circulation. I get lazy....damn meds :cool0044:

Am I screwed ? Its day 15/16 into flower. Any other home remedies or something I can do ?

just keep your humiditity down by keep your ventitalion running 24/7 which ever fan you use to bring fresh air in and out needs to stay running in the dark period also, so that new fresh dry air is coming in. Durring your dark period in flowering your RH builds up alot so to counter that we keep out vents running and Ive never had an RH issue again. It depends where you live also if the RH outside is over 70% your gonna have some issues keeping the RH in check. Any questions just ask.

Thanks Lord Dank.....The small fan that was in there was runnin 24/7, I think it wasn't enough...lol it was pretty tiny.

Again, thanks for the quick response. Cheers

Day 17 into flower

So far I haven't come across anymore PM. I realize I might have not killed it but I'll keep at it with the milk/water solution for another few days and see how she does after that.

Other than this little setback, things are looking great....

Looks killer, I just got a cut of the sfv I am going to mother for a few more cuts. If mine are anything like yours I will be stoked, can't wait to see how they finsh. Love the cat story, mine love the plants, now I grow catgrass inside for them to chow. If you see anymore pm, try serenade garden spray, it is bacillus subtilus, benificial bacteria that works from inside the cell structure to kill pm where it starts, inside. Once you have seen it on the outside it has been on the inside for a while. Some strains are more resistant to it. I have used serenade two weeks before harvest while flushing with plain water. The plant breaks down the organic compound quickly, no notice of smell or taste difference, although it smells like stinky feet when you spray it, don't be scared. Don't spay in bright light, either 1 hr before lights come on or right before they go off. You can also spray on medium. I am addin dyna grow protekt, silicon supplement to all my mothers, so hope fully the cuts will never develop pm. The idea is the silicon strenthens cell walls and takes up space where pm likes to incubate not leaving it any space to occupy. If it is given to every gen. of cut then it progressively disapears. I have not seen it in three grows now. I also spray serenade once right before flower. Knock on wood, and keep your fingers x'd. I hate that PM. Good Luck.

Thanks M.S.T -

I heard about that seranade stuff. Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that the bacteria is stem bound. I have to go get that shit.

Yeah this PM is a major bitch...I'm determined to get all UFC on its ass though :punch

Day 30 into flower

Had a bit of an issue of overfert'in her. Flushed her with two waterings and stopped it at that. She looks way better and starting to smell it up.

The top view reminds me of a colony of Sun Seastars...those of you in the upper northwest probably seen these monsters (yes I am a major fish/ocean nerd)

Seranade is crap compared to Green Cure bro. I've learned the hard way. I also run SFV coincidentally. Mine is the real cut though. Not saying yours isn't (your leaves look kind of skinny compared to mine, otherwise similar) but seeing as how you got it from a dispensary as a clone who really knows? That is also why you got PM IMO.

My first run of SFV was 90% devastated by PM. I had such high hopes man...big colas! Stuff took over 2 plants out of 5. The whole time I was spending hours per night wiping leaves with seranade and paper towels and q tips. What a joke. I would disappear and come back 5 days later. Finally right before harvest it appeared on all 5 plants. 2 days later it was on almost every bud.

Green Cure doesn't smell like rotten pussy, and you can use it all the way to harvest. I have taken way better measures to prevent it since, but I got PM last round in week 7 of flower. Only a few leaves were affected but I used Green Cure to make sure it didn't take over like the previous time. Worked like a charm.
