It's is a red headed cock chafer it's the pupa lives in ground and eats roots of plants at night you will see a black beetle crawling about that is the adult . Feed them to your chickens .Found a bunch of these when I was moving some dirt for reuse.

So many insects look alike at that stage; keep a few, and you'll be able to ID it at the next instar, in a couple weeks.
