Worried about how long I have until the system is clogged... there's a good 4 feet of drain between the first bucket and the exit. 50 days of flower in this pic.

Are your bucket drains clogged up? I would check them on a regular basis. Any pics of the inside of the bucket, showing the roots and drains?

Nope I have no access to the 4 back buckets and very limited access to the other 4. Can't lift a lid at this point really and everything is under plastic as well.

Well, not to be captain hindsight, but if there is a way to modify your system to be more root and plant accessable for future runs, that would be an awesome upgrade.

Ideally, you really need to at least reach into those bins, and clear those drains. Otherwise, be prepared for the flood that is coming.

Just my 2c

I made some very newb mistakes this run and the strain I purchased wasn't optimal. I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not to keep the system for another run, it's working great but I've lost control at this point.

haha he means its overgrown him I think... nice

awesome thread.. whats the strain in question? did you not put some kind of screen inside each bucket?

also, what strain is it? I am running sour d this time and it, as it did last time I ran it 5 yrs ago, has slightly overgrown me. had to break out some sharp 90 degree training at canopy level haha. day 29 and I can only possibly raise lights maybe 6 more inches, top girls 3-6 inches from reflector after intense training

i feel ya, if you arent careful you can get overrun purty quick

loose 5 pumps and 2 check valves, and call it a UC next time. floods suck,

As long as you did 2 drains per mini rez.
The issue you encountering has already been prepared for. By having 2 X 1 inch drains.
My roots did that and I had no flooding.

If you would post some pictures, so we can see how overgrown it is?
