Like to have as many replies as possible everybody information given is greatly appreciated. About 5 6 days ago I noticed my plants had started turning yellow like in picture looked it up determined it was iron deficiency so an attempt to boost levels I bought worm castings and bone meal and applied to plants two days later they were as green again looking good last night I watered but added Miracle-Gro this afternoon yellow again wondering what is the cause did soil test before and after worm castings and Bone Mill plenty of nitrogen no phosphorus very little potash that's why I bought the bone meal and worm castings to boost levels I will do another soil test here shortly but can this be from too much nitrogen pots say dry again so don't believe it's water

Did this today

Looks like iron deficiency again but it just cleared up and poof back again

Are you able to check your ph levels at all?

I wonder if you have nutrient lock out from the miracle grow.

Miricle grow ? Omg no one uses that! Go organic and never worry about any ph or mute burn! Mom nature is boss! Worse case ad cal mag and all is well! That’s probably nitrogen lock out like dude said soon it will start curling and then burn

If it is lock out, maybe just water for a bit.

I’m going through the same ordeal… I was using 1/4 strength ferts and adjusting ph of nutrient solution but still over did it.

Leaves are still praying 🙏 but tips are curved down a bit

I checked my pH two different ways and it shows me being at 6.8

That's what I'm using manure goat manure that's been decomposing for about 5 years but it just don't have no potassium or potash in it nitrogen is good though only reason I used Miracle Grow is because it had phosphorus and potash in it

My pH level is stayed the same at 6.8 since they've started only thing I did was check the soil when they turn yellow the first time and I was lacking in phosphorus and potash so I got the bone meal and worm castings and they come out of it but today after Miracle growing and watering last night they did this and all I did was put one of the tiny ends of the scoop to two bottles of bottle of water nothing else

I have to order everything if I need it this town I live in has nothing like that fertilizers are seasonal around here and nobody carries them out of season so I'm having to think outside the box and use homemade things or whatever I can do and like I said I've still learning I've grown mine outside and fence lines and stuff like that all my life never got to grow them inside

If I had to do all over again I would have got some cocoa the worm castings and Bone Mill and that would have been my medium

I will try water in them it's showing dry again just scared of over watering so I depend on this meter

I would just flush it with water for awhile, more ferts probably isn’t the solution right now.

Probably just burned it a little.

Thank you! I just left them alone and it looks like it's coming out of them yes probably will flushthat seams like the right path

I think maybe to much nitro
I’m really not sure how fast fert burn shows up but it was my immediate thought.

I would sit down with all my soil amendments and do the math. How much NPK do all these hold?

Maybe put the miracle grow aside and make a mix with all the other good ferts you have to accomplish feeding needs.

Make a good dry mix that you can make into a tea or put on dry.

Ok I'm still low on phosphorus and potash so looks like overload on nitro but I got some soil settling in water and will check levels I will post Pic of test and Pic some brains 🧠

How are you testing these npk levels?

I thought it was hard to do unless you had some serious equipment.

I suspect your overwatering ,also I bought one of those exact same moisture meter it’s junk “check out blu mats tenciometer not cheap but a good meter but check out “build a soil” and there videos ,, but from what I see that’s a small maybe 5 gallon pot ? The problem with those is there more hands on to keep the plants happy compared to a larger bed like a earth box or similar with sub irragation they take the guess work out of how much water to good luck

I wouldn't water based on that meter. The leaves will clearly give indications on when it needs water. The branches and stems also slightly wilt. After a watering, pick up the pot and feel the weight. Remember how it feels to the best of your knowledge. Now try to move a fanleaf. Pay attention to how the branch will move, it should almost rotate the entire plant. When you try moving a fan leaf and it needs watering, the stem of the fan leaf will be soft and maluble almost while the rest of plant doesn't move at all. This is when you want to water it. At this point I also suggest you pick up the pot, feel how light it is compared to when you last watered. This should be the first skill you wanna master as a grower. It's much easier than it sounds. By then you'll have thrown away that meter.
