thats fucked up mate. he should at least send more cuts until you got some rooted. a good tip when you recieve unrooted cuts is to put them in a cup of water for about 12 hours. this will revive them, and will look like they've just been cut straight from the plant. no soggy or soft stems. good luck getting whats owed to you mate.

I've sent cuts to people that rooted and they died due to vacation a week later and i resent them at my expense. unless you are a total retard and i didn't realize it until after they were sent you can bet I'll do what is necessary to not send you the cuts or clones but ensure you end up with a stable mother before the trade is 'complete'! now after that if you don't keep it and want it again we are back at the trading phase.
it's not about my name even though i go out of my way to protect it it's about treating people right so if i have to spend $5 to resend it no biggie I'll live. networking, creating a good name and having a good rep goes a lot further then the $5 to resend the package would have got you. and even a sog grower should always have more cuts on the mom then they need so it's not like it's that big of a deal. now i would make them wait for some new growth if necessary but that's it.

Yea it sucks I have been burned a few times in all aspects of the game. If you are in the scene long enough you are bound to get burned sooner or later. I have learned to just minimize the situations I allow myself to get involved in where there is a chance of getting the sharp stick in the eye

well fractal, what you do is, first you go and get the dirtest mex ditch weed ever, and grow out a couple seeds, next step is to find a friend that has root aphids, contaminate the mex cuts with the aphids( try to find someone with powdery mildew as well).
Call you "friend" up and tell him you have some New Elite strains for him,
lots of variations on this plan, but they all sound pretty good.

I've all but given up on "trades". Too many one-way feeds and broken promises. There ARE a few folks out there though who still know what respect and honor is but they are becoming more and more scarce as more and more profiteers jump into the game.
And not trying to rattle, shake, or disrupt the TOU here...but I've always shook my head/disagreed/thought the practice of hammering on >individuals< for speaking of trades while allowing "dispensaries' to list and even PRICE their clones here on the Farm. Such a practice, IMO, is WRONG.
I'm as "legal" as they are.... so why the "privileged character" status?? Why are individuals banned but dispensaries get free advertising for saying the same thing?
If there's not supposed to be mention of such things here @ the Farm...there shouldn't be ANY mention....especially from folks who are perpetuating high prices in this industry who aren't "trading"... but are instead, out and out SELLING their wares via free advertising here on the Farm.

I know the forum rules are no trading. That is the TOU on most sites. There used to be sites and still are some sites for that kind of stuff. Whenever you would see posts like that you knew it was illegal. The picture is kind of muddled now because posters could be in legal states and be trading with people in their own legal state. So technically they wouldn't be breaking any laws.
They could also be people who are members here but also friends in real life. They do all the trading and stuff in person and it doesn't really have anything to do with this site they just talk about stuff here and post grow pics. That's how smoke reports could be explained when you see a smoke report saying tester: Poster A Grower: Poster B. Otherwise there would be no explanation to how Poster A got something to test from Poster B.
In my early internet experience with the canna sites I was all about just showing how I did stuff and what I had to grow. I liked that but became more interested in researching other people's grows and finding out what were the good seeds to buy. Then after buying everything I could and growing them out I started wondering how good is my stuff compared to these various elites some people were hyping. That is when my trading started. It was mostly people with elite cuts who dabbled in breeding. They had elite cuts but they didn't have the beans I had. Auction only stuff of limited release that went for big bucks or BIN stuff of limited release that disappeared in minutes. Now I had stuff that people with cuts were having a hard time getting. Some wanted to look for new keepers and some wanted breeding stock. For whatever reason I was able to get about any elite cut I ever wanted. I had 31 elite moms. There were only a couple that escaped me like dumpster and UBC Chemo. Lots of them I didn't keep because I had seed keepers that were better. Part of that could have been because I didn't get the real deal cut. That might explain trainwreck, shoreline and bull rider because I had several cuts from different sources and none of them were keepers.
Anyways I was a trading maniac for a few years. But too many people didn't come through. I burned through safe addy's because when I told them something was coming and it didn't come they would be nervous even though they had nothing going on at their place. There are only so many safe addy's a person can come up with until you run out. That is what really gets me the most about people who go back on an agreement. It would be better to me if they just wrote me back and said "I ripped you off. You aren't getting a thing. Then I could tell my safe addy and they would still be a safe addy.
The other thing too would be some people who did actually come through were morons when it came to packing. I would be double boxing, triple sealing and they were throwing clones in a priority box that wasn't sealed or protected. Safe addy's hated that shit too.
Lastly I started worrying about the people that I sent too. Even though I am possibly the best packer any canna site ever had I had things not make it there. It happened 3 times after 2 years of nothing happening. Two of them ended up being the person I sent them too. It was to an apartment complex. They put packages in a mail room and gave the person a slip telling them they had a package. Well they never got the slip even though the package was in the mail room. Two weeks later they got it. But it was 2 weeks of WTF?? At the same time I overnighted a package and that one didn't get there either? WTF?? Turns out now on overnight stuff that has to use a plane to get there they sniff all that stuff down. The best packer can't stop the drug dogs. It was confiscated. They went to the guys safe addy house with the opened box and said was this yours? They said no. They said they couldn't come in. They never came back and nothing happened. Even though it was a safe addy the guy I was trading with closed down his grow. Even though it was a fake return address I closed down my grow because I had 2 packages out there undelivered. I was freaking out. Then after 2 weeks of freaking out the other guy said he got his but they were dead. And in that time I had another guy say he didn't get his. It turned out his safe addy was a kid who lived with his mom. Well the package came, she didn't recognize the fake name and sent it back to the post office. Since it was a fake return address that package is just in limbo forever.
So there are other pitfalls when trading. But people ripping people off really stinks. I ended up not requiring trades. If somebody wanted something and I was in a giving mood I just would send them whatever. That way I ain't disappointed. That way it is all on the person who wants something. They have to take the leap of faith that I am trustworthy. They always found out I was.
I have gotten some bad vibes on a couple people here. One dude ask me if I wanted to trade. I was gonna send stuff but decided to wait a bit because that person said they had some stuff to do before they could send stuff. Then they never wrote back, didn't post here much, said they were busy with a breeder or something. Then I found out a couple other people sent them stuff but never got anything back and I figured I dodged a scammer. The ironic thing is that he just could have PM'd me and said hey I want the X cut and when I could I probably would have sent it to him for nothing.
This is how much you write if you smoke a bong bowl with a mixture of Original Diesel, ssh/ptk with a piece of The White bubble hash as a cherry on top. LOL!
