Second grow - trying hydro in coco.

They are just shooting up! And look super healthy. I've been adding more nutes and I'm not seeing any more burn. The tips are barely yellow. I'll try a little more next mix.

This grow is so thick I'm having a hard time keeping the inside from being packed with leaves and larf. I think I've done pretty nicely on keeping the canopy pretty even, anyways.

Hopefully i don't get any mold issues. I'll hopefully get my dehumidifier set up this weekend, or soon. I'm planning on putting in some pass throughs in the wall and get my humidifier and res out of the growing room.

I also noticed the morning feeding did not have anything drain, so I've added another daily feeding. They're getting every 4.5 hours now instead of every 6 hours. While there's light.

I do every 3 hrs with 10-20% runoff

Added nutes to the res today. Around 1600ppm and 6.2ph.

Added more to the res. Seems to be about 1.5 gallons per day. Todays nutes go in at 6.5ph and 1700ppm.

I pulled some faff. It's a bit early, but there's trichomes, so I'm going to smoke it. It'll take a few days to get it dry enough. We're still at least 2 weeks from harvest.

They're going pretty fast. They're at almost 4 weeks now. Last grow, in soil, I harvested at 6 weeks and again at 7.5 weeks. The trichomes were nicely amber for each harvest. I'm not seeing any amber yet. I should have around 2 weeks.

I'm having issues keeping them hydrated overnight. I'm thinking about adding a second pump and timer to add a feeding at night. I had to add a cup or 2 to them this morning to get some through.

Damn they're getting sticky. I hope the smell I'm getting off the sticky is what it tastes like cured. Damn it smells good!

Reupped the res again today. Ph about 6.2 ppm at 1833. This is the strongest mix so far, but I barely see any tip burn. As harvest is just a few weeks away, I'll be fading out the nutes starting in a few days.

I've decided I'm going to just harvest these plants whole this time. The last few weeks on the veg+bloom are very different and I'm going to just pick a date to shoot for and run the nutes appropriately. I'll decide the exact date on the trichs.
I've heard that turning the room off for a couple days at harvest could be beneficial. Any thoughts?

I’ve done it and no noticed a difference. It’s best to harvest right before the light comes on so I’ll shut the light off at the end of the last light cycle and I’ll just come in the next day sometime and harvest in the dark.

I broke out the microscope. These are all the same bud.

Smoked the larf I picked a week ago. It was a quick dry and no real cure. It did get me high anyways. I pulled some more yesterday and have it in the drying tent. This will get a real dry anyways, if no real cure.

Does the smell off your hands ever come through the taste of the buds? My fingers smell like candy after getting any of the sticky on me. If 3 months cure gets me there, I'll wait!
