So I shouldn't get hung up on the quoted 8-9 weeks for this strain? I think that's my problem, I'm too focused on that. But I guess if you guys are seeing she's still got some time, then I'm all for lengthing things and letting her grow out!

Absolutely not I had beans from the same bag finish a month apart you want to look at each plant individually and across multiple buds of each plant before you chop

Also look at the buds themselves the trichs on the sugar leaves turn before the Trichs on the buds, the bud trichs are what you wanna decide by

Just keep a close eye on her decisions you make now will be dramatic. I don’t grow in a medium that needs runoff but if I did I would flush then feed or just flush with a super diluted nutrient solution like 1:5 of the normal.

That would be a good option, if I flush I like triple the normal volume I would normally water with and just let it run off

I just posted this on my journal but I just watered today I go a bit extreme though lol

This is a normal watering and how much I’d expect for runoff for a 5 gallon bucket, this is in fox farms strawberry fields with amendments

Yeah I kinda figured that's the case lol I guess just getting antsy for her to be ready but I do have a handheld microscope around here somewhere. I've been meaning to dig it out! If I can't find it, I'll just scoop up a new one. But I'll keep an eye on her trichomes over the next few weeks

For sure, I'll definitely tread carefully. Soil should be dry in another 2 days or so, so I'll probably give her a really good flush with fresh water and then feed

Took a quick look at her today, getting super frosty!

Going to check on her soil tomorrow and if dry, will give her a good flush to remove salt buildup before continuing to feed for a bit.

Also couldn't find my little handheld microscope, so going to buy a new one to start checking trichomes.

Here's some updated pics. Her main branches are really beefin up!

What's up guys, sorry it's been a few days since an update. Got a dog this week so he's been keeping me busy!

I flushed her on Thursday and fed with reduced 6ml/l nutrients. She's continued to yellow out, but the tops are still looking green and healthy! The stigmas are beginning to turn color as well, so she's coming into the final stretch! She's gotten super frosty and her smell is really starting to come out.

Yep she’s looking good! I always wait for the end of the grow just for that final full aroma and it comes on quick haha like overnight the tent smells completely different in the morning

Welp, shes gettin close! Her lower fan leaves have all yellowed and begun to die and her bud sites have gotten even frostier. Her stigmas are starting to really begin to turn color. Also looks like she's got a little purple in her leaves too!

I couldn't get a good picture of the trichomes, but through my phone camera I could see theyre beginning to turn cloudy. After her last round of nutrients on Thursday, I gave her the first flush today to start preparing her for harvest. This Wednesday will be the beginning of week 9. Based on the way she's looking, seems like I might be harvesting sometime between week 9-10.

Getting more and more excited every day! Her buds are really starting to swell, stigmas continue to turn color, and she's gotten super frosty! The purple in her leaves is coming out even more now too. Looking through my phone camera, I can see the trichomes and it appears like most have begun to turn milky.

Tomorrow is the beginning of week 9, so she's right on track. I'll keep an eye on her trichomes. but I may be looking at harvesting in a few days/end of week 9ish. Thoughts?

Also, I've seen a lot of differing opinions on this, but how long do you guys stop watering your plants before harvest?

Appreciate it dude, thanks for sticking around! I'm definitely pretty pleased with it only being my 2nd grow. The advice from you and the community here helped a ton!! Gave me a lot to think about for future grows too

Can't wait to see how she finishes up

documenting is good yes you can always go read through the old thread before starting a new grow and make those adjustments to your grow.
i cant even remember my 2nd grow, but i remember my 1st one was a single plant in a 6ft closet under incandescent bulbs. my parent found the plant and told me to rather grow outdoors like a normal person.

Oh definitely! I'm glad I decided to document here so I can look back to it. And the community here is awesome!

That's crazy your parents didn't throw it out how did it turn out? Lol

being the first grow and before the days of being allowed to use dialup(super expensive), best information was to oven bake the bud into something smokeable. i dont recall but can only imagine it gave headaches, oh and the smell..everyone around us must have known what was cooking
