So I have NEVER had issues with photo seeds, even bag seeds but I get auto seeds and the seedlings just die on me or don't come up right. I did direct plant and soak in water first. They all popped in water but one was stretching another got cooked the other was upside down and died. The one that made it is a week old and its first leaves only. Letting the medium dry out before I water it again. It's driving me nuts I do t have issues with other regular seeds ever but these autos are so all over the place. Is this normal for autos? I got reliable genetics I don't get it its 75 to 80 at 60% humidity constantly 🤷‍♂️

Any chance you got a batch of bunk seeds for those autos?
If that’s not the case, try a few hours soak in 50:50 mix of distilled water and hydrogen peroxide. Then add just a few grains of Epsom salt For about 24 hours.
At that point, the seed should be pushing a point out of one end.

Place between a couple layers of paper towel or napkin and pour the water onto the napkin to moisten it, keep it moist for 24 hours and you should have a root about 1/2” long.
Drop into soil that is only slightly damp, don’t water, keep humidity high and temp warm.

You should have a happy seedling in about 4 to 7 days.
Good luck and keep us updated.

The pic is last night, this morning she perked right up. I threw some seedsman northern lights in a cup, they have both sunk which woo hoo! Gonna paper towel to make sure they are healthy then put them in the soil. I also noticed the weather has been 80 one day and 30 for the next week so its been tough to keep them consistently warm when the temp is all over the place. Put a space heater by them, the seeds in the water. I am off for 4 days so I can baby them. Used some recharge this time too, Last time I wasn't home hardly at all. I will update until they are all healthy to try and pick all your brains in case things go wrong. Always appreciate the community! Will update later today, the seedling should be cruising by then and I'll check the seeds too!

Quick update, seedling above seems happy, it's growing larger first leaves and the tiny True leaves have started. The other two I soaked NL seeds in some water and now have them in the paper towel method. Figured some good old northern lights to lower my stress a bit, those things are like tanks lol

The fatso auto ended up ok I guess, but super lanky, been using recharge a tiny bit to try and get the roots to grow more but its staked up at the moment. One northern lights came up and the other is underground still but I took my time this time and soaked in good water, put in paper towel, then put in soil. Took the time to mist the soil, the difference that taking your time makes.....
I still stand by these are harder than photos so far at least, we will see.... I need them for outdoor in my area it's rough. I only want to grow photos indoors really. This is a test run before outdoor season more a less.

The seedling in the upper pictures looks to be reaching for light. Instead of staking it up, soil can be added to the cotyledons. That part of the stem is capable of growing roots. It's better than staking it.

Maybe soil is too hot and burning the seedling try some low ec soil sometimes the soil ec is too high with certain brands try pot into little pots to get established

Unfortunately they are autos so I started in the final pot. Can't wait to have photos again to start in a solo cup lol

Unfortunately they are autos so I started in the final pot. Can't wait to have photos again to start in a solo cupi maybe try repot them from small pots like 1 litre ive notice auto seems to flower when root are almost bound so little pots are not ideal but if u can repot out there 1 litre before fully bound should give 2 to 3 week from there in nxt pot to see flowers depending on the nxt size pot and yeh allways Good to start small solo cup anyway ur autos look great keep up the Good growing

i do auto's on a regular basis and rarely have an issue that i haven't caused.
i soak for 14 hours in spring water and then paper towels until the tap root is 1/2" long then into final pot.
i'm a pretty new newb so i always follow the suppliers instructions to the tee.
hope this helps

Do you think hanging the light higher and turning it up to 50% IS a good idea? My light only goes by 25% Increments. I don't want to burn them up

Turned it up to 50%, buried the stems, they seem happy now. However the vigor in the atlass seeds vs seedsman is big imo

All seems well at the moment, thankfully. Taking my time was the biggest thing. When I rush I half a it.

Would you say these are overwatered? I feel like it is, letting it dry out.
