Seedling starting to die after germination

I was worried about these being bum packs. I had a small issue with them and i had the feeling they sent me garbage. I germinated 40 and 21 popped and 19 haven’t even broke the shell. I got four different strains. The pic you saw is same strain. I had one out of the 21 that was upside down and I flipped it. I know it is my fault in why my seedlings are like that but the ones that never popped at all are questionable

I’d guess you all are germinating in paper towels and letting them go to long. Personally I just drop the seed in water and after it sinks plant in dirt. But if you use the PT, once again I’d plant right after they crack open. Then plant them with the root up, which will cause the root to do a 180 and the plant will sweep through the dirt and pop up clean.

When you leave the seeds in the PT for a couple days then the roots get too long and you’ll have to plant root down which can give you helmet head or have the root pop up with the plant under dirt.
