Seedlings falling over, 15 days old

Hi everyone. I'm about 15 days into a grow. My seedlings are getting 20-25 moles of light a day, 6.3-6.7 ph water every 2-3 days, and my grow tent is 50% RH with 68-75 degree temperatures.

Yesterday I transplanted them from red solo cups to 5 gallon fabric pots, but for the past week they've been having problems staying totally upright.

I've stuck some small bamboo skewers in the dirt for them to rest on, I'm hoping that as their stalks grow they will become sturdier.

Is there anything else I should be doing?

#1 was tipped over when I checked on them, so I propped it back up.

They’ll be alright. Just a bit of transplant shock. They look a bit leggy. I’d lower the light some. How far above them is your light?

that dirt looks dry as hell yo, to transplant properly you must first hydrate the substrate that its going into then water in after transplant to help oxygen trapped in the soil work its way out. What kinda dirt?and bump with oldguy71 when your seedlings stretch its usually from light being too far away. What kinda light you running?

I'm running kingbrite 240w 3500k, but it's not turned up all the way. They're getting about 20,000-26,000 LUX depending on which plant, which is about 20-25 moles of light a day.

Light is about 3 ft above them, I haven't measured.

I was worried about them getting oxygen in such large pots, so I watered them before transplanting, and then watered the soil a bit around where they were transplanted into. Should I get the entire medium watered?

They definitely stretched in the first week especially because I planted them with not enough light, but I've been turning up the lights every few days.

Despite trying to do everything correct some strains seem to stretch like this. I always leave room in the pot to fill in around the elongated stem with more soil. Much better than propping them up with sticks for me.

Throw some more soil in there ,that will help support the stems .the plant will then grow more roots from where you buried it..

34-36" from seedlings I believe, the adjusting light strength is right, so your in a waiting game to see your next intervention.

IMO water them to get the entire media damp... roots don't grow into dry soil. The tap root will make a mad dash to the bottom of the pot but not when the soil is bone dry.

Reduce the light a touch just for about a week. 10-15k and make sure they get a dark period if they are not

Yep, they get 6 hours of sleep a day. I'll go turn the lights down now and get the whole medium damp. I was concerned about their roots getting oxygen which is why I was so conservative in how I watered them.

Wow, they took a lot more water than I was expecting! They each got 3 red solo cups worth, and could have probably taken more.
Light are turned down to 15-18k, will adjust further in the coming days if I need to.

They will need more. As Aquaman said, the roots aren't going to explore dry soil, they grow toward moisture. If it's only in the center of the pot, that's the only place the roots will be.

When you water soil, you want to wet the entire amount. The problem with overwatering comes when you decide to keep adding water each day, so it's always wet.

You think I should give them more water than that next time? I went in circles around the plant until the full top layer was moist, there was some run-off as well. This is my first grow if that wasn't clear, so I'm learning quite a lot! It was a lot easier to judge how much water to give them when they were in the solo cups.

Typical.. Cal nit fixed everything for years now its useless under leds?

Depends on the nutrients your using but for now let the pot dry out well before watering again. It's easier to using smaller containers and up pot. Ideally around a 2 day watering time would be preferable. In those pots its likely going to be 4-5 days or longer. So you only need to get all the media damp to start then keep the moisture content 30-60% until they grow into it feeding light. Once they are bigger of using synthetic nutrients you will want to get runoff with each watering but start that once they are drying the pots out in 3ish days. Otherwise you risk over watering

I planted directly into a Fox Farms Ocean Forest and Perlite mixture, so I haven't given them any additional nutrients yet. Do you think I should start with a light supplement of nutres next feeding? I had heard that the Fox farms should be good for 3-4 weeks.

I have Botanicare Pure Blend Pro in both the Grow and Bloom varieties for when they are ready for feeding.
