I am just getting started on my most recent grow. Being where I am from, it is very cold outside and my room is on the chilly side.
I germinated my beans using paper towels and plastic bags and now I have the ones that opened in soil and under humidity domes.. I have them all in a cab with an air cooled 400W HPS ~3 feet above them. The temperature is sitting around 78-80 degrees and the humidity in the domes is around 80%.
Will these temperatures and having the light provide dry heat work? Mr. Cervantes said the light is fine, so long as a humidity dome is used and the soil is checked for dryness often.
I am hoping someone has experience using the light for heat. I am hoping to avoid buying a heat mat but I will if this method will cause and real problems.
