seeds will be illegal now what?

Since cocaine mitch threw it in there I got to wonder who benefits killing an entire industry other than alcohol and pharmaceutical companies? Maybe his wife’s ties to china? The illegal chinese grows that use banned chemicals. The rules also get set in place at the midterms. I know this isn’t the place for politics and I am not politicking just conspiracy theoring and it’s kind of hard to avoid politics when we’re discussing policies that are being implemented by politicians.

And under the couch cushions, in the sock drawer, don't forget we had ash trays too (cars and house).

Back in the day we would walk the tracks to our local wrecker storage, trespass, and search the glove boxes, trunks and ashtrays. We found, roaches, bags, seeds, uppers, downers, and all arounders. My biggest haul was .25 lb stashed under the spare tire of a new 76 Monte Carlo. The ones with the swivel seats.
Those yards were gold mines for illegal shit in wrecked cars. "My friend" found an oz of coke and like 1k in a trunk.
He went on working for them towing cars for about 10 years out of highschool. Lol

I've recently found my stash of seed from the late 80s - early 90s. Probably not viable anymore, wasn't stored properly, but I'll try popping some come spring.

The U.S. government was opened by a legislative package that included the
H.R. 5371, the "Continuing Appropriations, Agriculture, Legislative Branch, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Extensions Act, 2026". The President signed this into law on November 13, 2025, ending the 2025 government shutdown.

You can find the full text and information on the bill on the official Congress.gov page for H.R.5371
However y'all are pointing out the truth is hard to find now isn't it:
---------------------
Well I am so so happy to be wrong!
I was following the news and the last I knew the bill had passed with the rider.
After digging I am understanding :
=====================================================

So I was not misled I was not updated by the shows I watch.

So back to the Farm Bill?

Again happy to be wrong and yet willing to stand up and lead the fight for Mom and Pop to grow free.
OMG it is so confusing

Seeds ARE Illegal if they will grow a plant above the threshold.
So I watched the Cannabis Legalization Shows and then I listened to folks here.
I then looked for links myself and didn't see it but my automatic update of seed stuff from ChatGPT, today still said seeds are Illegal in the recently passed bill.

-- New Definition of “Hemp” (from Section 781, H.R. 5371) --

“Hemp” now means Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant — including derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers — **only if** the plant’s **total tetrahydrocannabinols concentration (including THCA)** does not exceed 0.3% on a dry-weight basis. :contentReference[oaicite:5]{index=5}

-- Explicit Exclusion of certain seeds and products --

The definition of hemp **no longer includes**:
• Viable seeds that come from Cannabis plants that would exceed the 0.3% total-THC threshold (i.e. “marijuana-level” genetics). :contentReference[oaicite:6]{index=6}
• Intermediate or final hemp-derived cannabinoid products containing cannabinoids synthesized or manufactured outside the plant, or containing more than 0.3% total THC (or any cannabinoids with “similar effect” to THC). :contentReference[oaicite:7]{index=7}
• Finished hemp-derived cannabinoid products containing more than 0.4 mg total THC (or equivalent cannabinoids) per container. :contentReference[oaicite:8]{index=8}

So I am guilty of watching the shows and hearing the alarm sounded and like others, couldn't easily find the link to the language in the bill.

So not wrong after all.

What can I say.

Hey Shitforbrains, I'm all fucking done with the mentally ill. You wanna talk politics here? You went off on shit you obviously haven't a fucking clue about and are nothing short of brainwashed. Wanna go off on politics? You come find me on X, NOT FUCKING HERE🤬

It is true there was confusion on if or not there was language that makes seed illegal in the bill Trump signed into law.
And yes that is politics. Too bad for you and the world you live in.

Look folks.. There is no Left-Wing Cannabis and there is no Right-Wing Cannabis: There is just Cannabis.

We need to find our way to fight for Cannabis freedom without attacking each other.

This means formulate an intelligent argument and exchange civilly.
Calling people shit-for-brains or other juvenile acts like that only makes that poster the idiot unless they are putting on a show for children.
That doesn't impress adults. So are you 14 or 15? If so I can cut you some slack. Just let me know.

The law doesn't state that. It states "any viable seed "FROM" a plant containing more than .3% THC or THC precursor. It doesn't matter what the seed will grow or not grow into. Semantics?, yes but in a legal context semantics matter. I posted the actual text previously.

We can only hope that this get's a heavy backlash before it's moratorium is ended and goes into effect. Enough so that it's reversed. It's ridiculous and damn near impossible to enforce.

We can hope for benevolent enforcement but it's not mandatory.
Anyway the point is to sound the alarm in the community.
We must remember the Constitution

📜 Article VI, Clause 2

(the second clause of Article Six of the U.S. Constitution)

Here is the exact text:

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made
in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made,
under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land;
and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the
Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

So States can do things but Federal law trumps State law every time.

We all know that seeds are now illegal.
Cops make arrests and the Courts determine facts.
It's the getting arrested and one's property seized by Law Enforcement as a matter of course that is hard to deal with.
I know! I did time, paid fines and 2 years probation for four clones.
Now I can be arrested for too much weight because of seeds and a medical stash.

We may want to see the cannabis-freedom-glass as half full but full equals cannabis freedom and I say that, that glass is half empty.

Your thoughts.

Happy to be wrong are we?

Sen McConnell added the BS to the CR. Open season on the MF'er. Majority Leader Thune for allowing the MF'er to add it to the CR? Open season. All the senators who closed the government after voting 13 straight times for a clean CR? Open season. They all played a part in this bullshit but your brainwashed TDS is the problem. Trump didn't add the language, he signed the bill to reopen the government but you can't seem to help yourself...

"Trump has pardoned Juan Orlando Hernández, the former president of Honduras,
He was convicted of importing TONS of Cocaine into the USA."

Explain how this has any FUCKING THING to do with the new language that McConnell put into the CR???

I followed this trial when it happened and had plenty of questions at the time but then you throw in factcheck dot org? The same people who still claim Russia Collusion was real??? That whole site is nothing but far left lies and bullshit and YOU brought it into the conversation here🙄

Then you go on with your TDS bullshit...

"So the War on Drugs is not only back but the administration looks to be muscling their way into all that money."

WTF? You can't even back that bullshit up with factcheck🙄 but of course that won't stop you and your brainwashed TDS of the next bunch of shit...

"And now are we seeing our President inserting himself in the flow of drug-money?"

You didn't step over the line here you jumped over it. This is why politics are not allowed on hobby sites, EVERY FUCKING HOBBY SITE has these same rules because there are fuckwads who can't control themselves.

But here's the real rub, after being silenced on Twitter, Facebook and the rest for the past 15-20 years by fucking bluehaired RETARDS I'm no longer going to stand by and allow you brainwashed lemmings to spout your bullshit lies, especially here. Too many are afraid of being banned or shunned but NOT ME, I've had ENOUGH of the bullshit and why your party has a 19% approval while the MSM continues to pretend 80% of Americans side with you🤬 That last election should have woke you all up but here we are.

Now, you wanna stick to the issue at hand? Have at it but keep the BULLSHIT out, it will not be tolerated🤬

I shared current events. I told the truth.
Blowing up small boats with outboard motors doesn't stop the flow of drugs to the USA.
Letting the guy out of prison after a few short years, that imported over 250 tons of Cocaine into the USA is not telling the American People Trump's war on Venezuela is about stopping drugs. Drugs come overland through Mexico mostly.

So I tell the truth.
I write interesting things.

It is true there was confusion on if or not there was language that makes seed illegal in the bill Trump signed into law.

Why make it legal? If they legalize it will only be the mega farms allowed to grow for sale.1000s of small time farmers will be out of a job. It will only be legal for some. The "chosen". Did you know the largest investors of those mega farms that are getting all the permits in every legal state are the very senators that kept it illegal for so long. They incarcerated the competition, stealing there genetics. FUCK LEGALIZATION

We must remember the Constitution

Yes.
No. Not every time. Cannabis is still illegal federally but states have passed legalization. Albeit some of them are pretty hodge podge.
We all know that seeds are now illegal.
Not yet.
We may want to see the cannabis-freedom-glass as half full but full equals cannabis freedom and I say that, that glass is half empty.

Your thoughts.
My thoughts.

I just want to do what I want to do on my own property and be left alone to do it.

Whatever it takes to do that...I'm for it. Banning seeds is antithetical to that, in my book.

I don't think the new laws are going to have any effect on seed availability. Yes the language is in there but it's unenforceable because there is no way to test the seeds and determine what kind of plants they come from or what kind of plants they will produce short of growing them out. The new laws are mainly focused on getting rid of the gas station delta 8 shit that people should not be smoking anyway.

Because it is a law it is subject to all kinds of amendments. They can suddenly say seeds are " expected to be less than .3% " and life is grand. They can be declared to be a precursor and every seed has the possibility of hundreds of doses of 200mg death edibles.
You must remember most office holds are not usually Cannabis knowledgable. Case in point an ammendment submitted in ohio to throttle plant squeezens to 50% THC. Thats right pure 100% spectrum oils would have to have an adulterant to lower the THC and it took several explanations by those knowledable about concentrates to get this moved in committe.
But again cities now have had a taste of the money you can make by dealing pot. They are not going to let that money sit on the table.
For even a modest smoker in an Ohio store not bordering Michigan the cost of a small tent kit is pretty much 3 months of dispensary weed. A nice 4x4 with bells and whistles can still be a long term bargain.
The main reason I think they will not let go easily is the way they went and restricted adult use gifting in Ohio. I guess everyone knows someone growin now so they will just make that very inconvienent to give away weed.
What is going to be very important to growers is what type of vote is needed to amend a law. If it requires a supermajority we can get a little stability. if all they need is 50% +1 then everytime we change underwear I mean vote for reps those becomes the whim of the next pair of underwear I mean Administration.

From what I've read, Ohio home growers laws haven't changed, or are going to. Only stipulation was flower couldn't exceed 35% THC, and weed has to be stored behind last vertical seat, or trunk, when transporting. Given, type vehicle.

12 PLANTS per household, or 6 per 2 person home.
We can sell to dispo via testing, or give it away to friends n family, or like myself.....smoke myself stupid.

The seed thing....wording is really screwy. And will probably not stick, because cannabis is not hemp. Cannabis ( seedless ) becomes marijuana, if pollinated, from my understanding. Hemp is a strain all to itself ...right.?

I don't see how Ohio couldn't be impacted. If federally selling seeds is banned it will affect every single state. Regardless of your grow and use laws in your state. USDA is who? Interstate commerce is who? USPS is who? Customs is who? Don't kid yourself. Hold onto those maybe viable/maybe not seeds because this will impact you.

I agree. But who really knows for sure. If we're still allowed to grow, then it's a oxymoron. U can't have one, without the other. Lawyers will be all over it, if not already. The wording is vague between cannabis, hemp, and marijuana seed. Their trying to lump them all together as the same species, under hemp.

It's like saying.....u can have the car and drive it....but the fuel for doing so, is illegal to use.

Just my thoughts about it all. Just like the ammo shortage just not long ago. Great time to hike up prices on so called items. When all it was is military was dumping old ammo for new. Military comes before us, so ammo production for civilians all but ceased till contracts were filled. There was never a shortage, actually.

We're constantly lied to, are we not.. I bet seed sales are going thru the roof at this very moment, watch n see. Now find out who's invested in those companies. Wouldn't surprise me if Mitchell's name shows up, along with those that back him.

Just food for thought. Look behind the curtains, during the show. Nothing happens in DC, without greasing the palms of others, first.

It's a multi billion $ industry.... they want every cent of it, or as much control of it as they can take of it, as possible.

It's always about $ and control, with everything our elected government does. Even when WE voted for it, they turn it to their favor by amendments, afterwards.

That's called tyranny my friend. Cut n dry.

That's the real story, and I'm sticking to it.😆
