I have 4 Gelato clones that I let get away. They are 10”-12” tall with 10+ nodes. Still pretty new at this and haven’t done any LST other than using a SCROG net. Are they too tall/large to do any bending/hooking of plants? Should I top them? If so, given they have 10-12 nodes where should I top? I’m going to transplant them to 5 gal fabric pots tomorrow. How long after repotting them should I wait to do any snipping and bending?

The stems don't look too woody yet so you can probably apply LST very lightly to the top 1/2 of the plant. I'd pull it slightly downwards and in a couple days, tighten it to pull it down a bit more and continue to do so very slowly so you don't break anything until you get it as low as you think you can take it.

So is it possible, yes, with care.

You could top them now. If you do the bottom shoots will develop and grow. I top regularly to keep them short. Just give 2 weeks after topping to flip. It lets the short shoots grow stems that will bud larger than if you flip cut day.

Thx man!

Yea you have wicked secondary branching at the bottom there. I would top the main stem and let the secondary branching grow out. Those nodes are so tight I feel like that plant might like topping with a bit of scrog for support. Maybe do some LST to even out the canopy and if you'd like top all the secondary branches once just to make more primary colas. Other than that I think you're going to have some wicked colas. Good job 😃

I would top all the things immediately. Once you see that they are growing again after topping, I would strip all growth from the bottom third of the plant. Anything that hasn't already matched the canopy should be removed if it originates in the bottom third of the plant. Be merciless. Once you see that the plant has started growing again after the lollipopping, I would remove about 75% of the fan leaves, wait one more week and then flip them to flower.

If your going to pot up and haven't topped they usually suggest to do both so the shock coincides and won't have two different shocks slowing down your run

Transplant shock is a myth, violence causes shock, man/woman handling them can cause shock.....being gentle and moving them from one pot to another doesn't cause shock unless you do something to them that shocks them. I transplant all the time without causing shock.....I also fk up and do cause shock once and a while if the soil is too wet and the dirt mass falls apart or I put my hands all over the roots.

Otherwise through my rose colored glasses I see growth the next day with the plants saying thank you to me😃😃

This is how they looked 8 days ago. I have thinned them out since then.
