it's A 5 x 5 area (25 sq ft)
1 600 watt HPS
1 400 watt MH
This is intended for a dual spectrum grow til harvest, might be including the red LED sunse. Light or whatever it is Called.

6 inch carbon filter for air cooling the lights

4 fans (1 in each corner)

Mylar wrap used as reflective paneling

5x5 chicken wire (2 in. x 4 in.)
ScrOG method will be employed

Oh and 12 plants. Intended for 2 8 week veg with 10 day pre veg...

Pre veg.

2x4 area, with 12 seeds down under a T5 2X4 for 10-14 days to focus on root growth with the CFLs

Then they will be put under the MH for one week to get used to the HID bulbs, then when I decide I flip the HPS on too. Don't want to stress em with the light.

Speaking of light...... 24/0 for pre veg, then last 4 days bring to 22/0
then bring it to 20/4 under the MH, until flipping it. But going as far as 10/14. By the last two weeks it'll be that way.

The carbon filter is now over where that bright CFL is And raised higher off the ground. any suggestions??
Esp about what to put on the carpet underneath the tent Mylar so that the soil water doesn't bleed out??
it's a 3x3 bottom part of a tent I had, until my dad threw away the poles that held it up. Now I'm waiting til I have a male to use that one.

Also, going a full organic grow here, teas and mycobeasties and such.

Flowering room sounds pretty good. Not sure about a 600 and 400 watt, as the plants under the 4 will grow differently than the 6. Unless youve got light movers or will be moving your whole set-up. You've got one fan air cooling the lights, are you using that as an exhaust? Depending where you live, you might be alright. Some clarification on the venting would be helpful.

Your grow times (8 week veg time + the "pre-veg"), might be good, but your schedule might also be a little hopeful. I think it sounds pretty good to start, but realize that if you're plants are not where you want them, you will have to adjust your plant growth time. Could be more or less than 8 weeks. As for the HID light stressing them, you shouldn't need to wait too long to flip both HIDs on. These lights are intense but your plants should be able to handle it. Start them with the T5s very close, and when you start the HIDs keep the lights further.

I would not do 24/0. Go 18/6. Even better is the gas lantern tech.

12 hours on, 5.5 off, 1 hour on, 5.5 off. The one hour in the middle of the dark cycle will keep the plants from flowering, saving you electricity, heat, and waste.

I do recommend gradually going past 12/12 in flower, giving the plants more and more dark time.

Put some poly sheeting on the carpet. Tape the edges up the wall so that water cannot escape. Get a wet vac.

Word, im a def do that.... I have a 33 can 6 inch air filter exhausting the HID, I'll have 2 big fans and 2 small ones. But I plan on rotating my plants around so it grows even, like every 5 days or so switch em around. My schedule will be 18/6 or 9/3 9/3 cuz I heard the lantern tek kills your lights cuz the 15 min warm up and warm down. But idk if im a do it this go round. Switching to 12/12 will be odd.
But I'm not able to exhaust air outside of the house cuz it's on the first floor and fuck that shit, I don't want people seeing or smelling that and nknowing its coming from my place, even if it is legal.. So, the exhaust, it's pulling air through the carbon filter, so its pushing it out and sucking the air from above the light becauseheat risingscience stuff. but yeah and Im wrapping Mylar around, but also put it above the carpet?

But I might have to reset upeverything. Something came up to where I might have 2 rooms to grow.... Long story... And not live there. And was thinking about doing that and having a couple 1000w lights in each room...... Have a veg and flower room..... So idk..... Here goes a couple grand

I think the rooms are 9.5x11.5

You'll need more exhaust (depending on time of year and location) for sure. that hot air has to go somewhere, even if its another room. There are plenty of ventilation threads here and other forums. I highly recommend reading through some of those stickied threads about ventilation.

If you are worried about killing your lights, I understand your concern and I should also look into that. As for your timer, definitely stick with 18/6 and don't do 24/0.

Mylar is probably too thin to use as poly. Get some 4ml+ poly sheeting.

The four lights you have circulating air, that is great.

Sweet thanks man! Im in Colorado so October to March I'm good on temperature. But yeah if I had disposable income I'd do the lantern tek. and thank you for the tip on Mylar, so tape the Mylar to the poly 4ml+

Narley-

You will definitely want some fresh air in the room either way. Whether that be by passive intake (using an exhaust) or by ducting bringing air in. The air doesn't necessarily need to be from outside, but it should be fresh (don't put your intake near your grow room exhaust air).

Also with the mylar, I think you're confusing my words. Mylar is great for reflection, but not so strong. Lay the poly out over your floor, tape it up the walls a few inches. Make sure it is seemless where water may gather. This is to protect your carpet. As for the mylar, you should only have it around your plants. How you install the mylar is up to you, but I don't think taping it to the poly would be a good idea.

If you have a tent, attach the mylar to the tent walls (if you even need it). If you have an open space, you can try taping the mylar to some large pieces of cardboard (as a wall). But don't make your plants get claustrophobic, they do need lots of air movement.

Oh ok, I understand you now With the Mylar. but I don't have a tent anymore, my dad threw away the poles for it so I traded it for 2 ballasts and 2 lights lol

But yeah, I need to figure out how to vent air in and not only out, this is why tents are useful I see.

Any walls, windows, or closets near the grow?

I've always preferred passive intake. Where you have a strong exhaust fan, and somewhere else in the room a larger hole.

Idk if I am allowed to mention other forums, but mods delete or censor my post if needed. Check out the forums at ic for ventilation. Good stuff on the stickied thread about how to set up your ventilation.

Sweet thanks man I appreciate that, and they shouldn't be mad considering this forum is to help us.....
But I have a window but I'm on the first floor, but I have to do something soon because my 2 bedroom apartment , well... I'm deciding mid June but I might be using both rooms if the amps can handle it... So I might have to exhaust out through the air vent and then leave the doors open and have more fans in the house with the AC running on a timer Because it's a wall AC.... Idk. It's got me confused now. I'm thinking with my new room do like 8 400 watts each
