Hello Gardeners and Farmers, I'm Shadowfax and together with my friend, Mr.R and his trolley, we're going to grow some cannabis for home consumption. I hope some nice folks here will follow my Diary and help me with my many questions and challenges on this my first grow.
August 8: paper towel/plate germination complete; planted my 4 for 4 germinated Northern Ligghts/Skunk from homegrownseeds. Same day placed in a mix of some of my home-made compost and FF Happy Frogs mix. and placed them in solo cups.
I am using an ViparSpectra XS 1000 light (120 watts) at about 45% power 16 inches over canopy--some nice guy on Youtube did the "par" levels on this light: he measured 16 inch off canopy 25 %=Par 158.6; 50 % Par 273 (said start of veg. which he gave as being in 270 to 300 Par range for smaller to teenage plants.) 75 % = Par 430 and 100% was Par 578 --and said that anything Par over 600 was good for flowering. He measured 100% and 12 inches over canopy Par at 863. He had a really fancy meter and seemed pretty knowledgeable--- I intend to use these numbers as a baseline. (If it matters, he measured in a 27 x 27 grow tent and not a 24 x 24 like I have--I'm thinking that may slightly impact Par values)
My first question, and the most important right now, is do my 3 day-old plants look leggy already? To me, a neb they day, but I also think they are newborn babies, and that it's okay at this time. Please advise.
Second, my temps seem to stay in the 77-80 degree range--too high? And my humdity in the 50-60% range--okay, or too dry?
