This is my gorilla cookies auto, she’s gone through real stress due to having too many nutrients and her leaves are yellowing.

I’m not sure if the trichomes are milky enough yet but I’m scared if I leave it much longer the buds with catch on to become yellow too!

I know these photos aren’t the best but they’re the best I can get right now!

What do you think? Should I harvest or should I wait?

Thanks in advance

The light being warm white, orange, yellow or whatever you wanna call it makes it difficult to spot amber trichomes. I can clearly see on the leaves a few but thats it. The pistils are orange, no white that I can see. But they are still not curled into the buds. As for the second picture I cant tell if the pistils are all orange or if its the light. She seems almost ready but I cant tell 100%
What day of flower is it? Or if you didnt start counting when the pistils appeared, how many days old is it from seed?

there’s still white hairs I’d say theres 70% orange hairs though

This plant is on day 2 of week 12 from seed, I thought I was on week 7 of flowering but I may have been late to spot it

I can't tell from these pics. I like to have at least 10% amber on the bud trichomes before I chop.

Gorilla cookies auto takes around 10-11 weeks from seed to harvest aproximately. It seems like the stress has delayed it a bit but it should be ready or almost ready, perhaps 1 more week if you cant spot any amber in the calyxes. If you can see amber in the calyxes (not the leaves) then its up to you when to cut. Once you see amber there is ready or almost ready and maturing it more is just a matter of what you prefeer, head high or corporal high. That said I would never go more than 20% amber on the calyxes because the plant starts losing flavor and potency (general rule, not all strains)

I believe it was stunted from birth, I’ll keep an eye on it for a yellow change. I agree, I’m aiming for them to be the milky colour but I’m afraid it could be too early as I still see plenty of clear trichomes

Does this mean the potency is at its highest?

It doesn't. The things I've read say max potency is when all the bud trichomes are cloudy. I like more of a mellow body high.

Alright mate I get ya, I’m looking for the wipeout grade though I’m not sure I’ll get that due to my mistakes earlier but we move!

Look forward to getting your opinions on my next lot

I know that autoflower breeding gets better all the time, but you might consider running photos if you're chasing potency. Ruderalis doesn't have as much THC. [Autoflower lovers, I mean no offense. I know there are autoflower varieties that are very potent.]

Currently got 6 photos going at various stages, ones of them is at week 12 of veg! Others at week 7, 6, 5 and 2 of them are on week 3

I’ve read that photos aren’t generally more potent and with experiencing less problems with growing them I think I’m being swayed to not even bother with the other auto seeds I have, just while I get the hang of things with photos

Hey man! : ) she’s looking really good! as both Eledin and AC stated those first few pics are hard to tell from. The second set are better but still too far away to really get a good look see. I’m with the others that say give it a little more time. From what I’ve noticed is the sugar leaves will start to turn first, but not seeing much of that here I think they still have some time. But without seeing those bud trichomes up close and clear its hard to say how many days

Thanks mate, yeah I was going to chop it this morning if I hadn’t got much more info but I’m deffo gonna leave at least a few more days and keep an eye for less white hairs and the odd amber trichome.

All of the feed back has helped a lot guys so I appreciate you all taking the time to give your opinions

I’m in no rush man, I know my first grow wasn’t gonna match the stuff I’m used to smoking. I’m used to smoking heavy hitting terpy bud so I’ll be drying 7-14 days and curing at least 1 month

Not trying to be harsh, but she does look a little stunted, and I’d definitely give it a bit more time if possible. Those will be small nugs once dry, but should do what they do. Regarding your photoperiod plants, unless you have a bunch of tents, you really want them on the same clock. That 12 week veg could easily take over a tent in flower, when they really explode. I harvested two Gorilla Cookie Autos in the past couple months. They were very different growers, but both really large for autos. One was ready in about 95 days, which has been about the average for my autos. I harvested the other at 130 days or so. Crazy. Both yielded around 5.5 ounces, but different flower dynamics like the different growth patterns. Genetics. When you get them right, Gorilla Cookies can be monsters. Good luck. Here are pics of the ones I harvested. The wide one was/is really excellent smoke. The other pretty nice too. One presses better than the other. I keep it simple with Dr Earth as a dry ammendment every few weeks. Love the stuff, cheap and effective.

Yeah I noticed it was probably stunted from the 3rd/4th week, just checking daily now for this milky trichomes and more orange hairs.

For the minute the 12 weeker will have enough space for its stretch seeing as this flowering one is down in the next week or 2.

Those look amazingly good man, it’s good to know I didn’t just get a dud seed and it was my bad, I have a few more which I’ll probably give a go after a few more photo runs
