Should I trim all that under the canopy?

I just put the net in and seems to be working great. Any suggestions? My main question is should I trim all the stuff I see the canopy that's not getting light ? I always see these pictures of SCROG that have nice cleaned up plants under the net. Is that necessary?

Because you scrogged, you don't want to let anything grow beneath the canopy. You went through the motions to get it to grow evenly. Pinching off anything growing outside of that region is how you keep it even.
