I'm one who loves to build things, and always have. it started because we didn't have much money, so I always entertained myself by taking stuff apart to learn, and doing random projects. Naturally, my DIY passion floated over to cannabis growing as well.
I thought it would be cool to start a thread for everyone to show off there most recent, most useful, in-progress, or even epicly failed projects and DIYs.
Some examples:
Grow Cab's, tents or space buckets
lights (diy led, cfl panel, etc)
solutions to common issues (cleaning scissors, reflecting/blocking light, light stand)
anything else you DIY'd
Holy Hemoglobin! thats a badass idea, cant wait! This is the kind of stuff I was thinking of when I had the idea for the threadKeep a watch on this brother.. I'll show you guys what I am setting up for my wife as a single plant grow.. basically, getting a casket, stood upright, putting in a hydrofarm 315w CMh in it.. side note, we turned an old transport coffin into a bookcase. Lol.
Nice! this is the kind of thing I could see myself doing. turning a one bedroom into a two or three lol wonder if it brings up the value of the house :eyepiece: is it just me or does anyone else feel the emoji's could be improved? lol for some reason they remind me of construction paperYears ago I purchased a pre-hung door for $50, some 2x2 sticks as staple holders, a few tubes of silicone, and a big sheet of plastic.
Took only a few hours to isolate a space.
Has been working great.

The AC was a emergency response to trying to do an oversize flower run in the summer time.
It stands ready, but I plan to never need it.
That extra foot will come in handy keeping equipment out of the way. Are those T8's your using for side lighting?I've already showed these pics in my thread. It is a great starter box, but I'm already wishing I had more height and floor space. So I'm thinking of making another one for a 315 cmh. From what I've read they kick ass in a 3'x3' footprint. So I'm thinking 3' deep by 4' wide (for a little extra space) by 8' high. With the extra height I could leave some extra space under the floor for a drain system. I only grow inside in the winter, so I have some time to think about it. When I do it I will keep a journal.
They're high output t5 2800k. I was running them with the plastic covers off until I noticed some leaves getting damaged. Now with the covers on they're doing ok.That extra foot will come in handy keeping equipment out of the way. Are those T8's your using for side lighting?
Thanks, I actually considered both those options. But I got a little sidetracked, after my adderall wears off it's hard to stay in one room, let alone focus on 1 project at a time. So many shinies to distract me lolCool little micro veg. Efficient use of light, and easy access. I say drill a hole and run the cord through the pvc, or just zip tie it to the outside.
can i have more pics? You said 50% opening so it can still suck air? Pic of that so i totally understand. Here's my portable ac mod
Choose proper fitting and angled 6" duct piece. Use thick foam and Caulk to seal duct in vent opening. Let cure 24hrs. Then use hvac tape (I'm a 3m guy), and tape the shit out of it. Run flex duct from that to your rooms intake fan and allow the intake fan to suck in the cold ac air. Securely tape (hvac tape) the flex duct to your intake fan, leaving 50% space so your fan can still suck in air when the ac is not running. Old pic of my 8k unit.

And are you running c02?
The other line coming out the back. Is that the heat coming from the ac unit that you are extracting out of the area?
What size ac unit is that and did you find that having it in your room as compared to outside of it, benefited you? Sorry for all the questions but im getting ready to add one of these to my room, and so im very interested in your findings and what you learned about this setup...
