Hi everyone,

I'm going to be making infused simple syrup, to add to cocktails. My question is, will the heat of simmering my infused sugar with water reduce the effectiveness of the cannabis?

Thanks :)

Simple syrup is a solution of water and sucrose. This is a saturated solution where no more sugar will dissolve into the water. It doesn't have to bee heated more than 150 F to dissolve the sugar so I'm sure you will be fine. You can dissolve the sugar in cooler water but it takes longer.

You will get separation without a binder
I make an infused syrup using a product called 210S.

It blends into all drinks hot or cold without separation

I would not put flower or sugar leaves in a simple syrup mix for extraction and infusion
Thought you were working with rso
