hello fellow farmers,
im new to this forum but have had other threads up elsewheres for sometime.
seems to be a good community here, so i figured id start a lil thread and introduce myself.

i have multiple strains going atm
currently doing a lrg pheno hunt specifically on the sinmint cookies by sincity seeds skywalker kush by RP and the purps by bcbd.

in this thread i will focus on the sinmints though more so for my own source of reference.

my setup is as follows:

basement grow

veg room:
400w mh
hortilux blue mh bulb

flower room:
1000w hps
180w LED
eye hortilux hps bulb

fabric pots/ geo & smarts
fox farm ocean forest soil
carbon scrubber
400cfm fan
GH nutes

Welcome to the FARM. .Its a GREAT place to be imo. Alot of great people here kind heart's. Trailblazing genetics. Curious about the SM.ima Sin city fan. Got my eyes on this! !

funny you say that..
i had been a die hard coco grower till jus about 2 weeks ago.
i switched over to soil and now am jus plain watering.
i switched cause having multiple strains in an inert substrate was becoming extremly tedious.
now everyones in ffof, and they couldnt be happier.
i dont plan on feeding intill they are done stretching in flower.
well, thats the plan anyways.

@tailz welcome bro! I'm using FFOF in my own grow, although I'm using a 600 Watt LED light. I think pheno's #1 and #2 are similar but #1has a slightly wider leaf structure. That #3 though, odd one of the bunch. Looking good so far man! Check out my LED grow if you have a chance bro! :)

What medium were you using before the repot? They look a bit light but that may be genetics or something else, anyways they are looking good so far man. :)

ive been growing with straight coco for a couple yrs..
literally switched to soil for the first time couple weeks back.

Nice, would you say your girls are happier in the FFOF? I literally kept my system as simple as I could. I was able to eliminate worrying about pH balance since the Advanced Nutrients line auto balances the pH level. So far my plants look healthy as you can see in my video update.

well, these particular strains im doing atm are looking happier, yea.
this was the first time ive had problems with coco.

Looks like your off to a great start. I have a small soil grow similar to yours but am using Earth Juice for nutes and Vermifire for soil. Will you will pH all liquids when you start to fertilize?

You may have had a pH balance issue when you were using coco. Where does your water source come from? It wouldn't be a bad idea to get some paper pH test strips.

when i was testing it stays at a solid 7.0-7.2 out the tap
ive grown dozens of plants like this.
then i had these 2 strains.
the smc and skywalker k's
jus went south real bad for some reason.
it could have jus been a couple hot mixes for all i know.
my water source is lake michigan
i have a ph tester around here somewhere.. :confused:

If this method has worked the same way for many strains it could just be the strains. I'm growing a Skywalker myself and had some problems with it, it is the smallest of all my plants.
