I gather you're using the greenhouse for security? As they'd be a lot happier (cooler) just out in the yard.
Security and I can’t grow outdoor where I live. Only indoor or in a greenhouse and the roommates made me take it outside lol this also helps keep out bugs since I have tons of them flying around in the backyard not to mention a shit ton of bees. Temps should drop to mid 80s in a couple days but even now it’s 101 outside so only a 7 degree temp difference. That’s kind of what I was thinking about doing and got to have the duct tape or it won’t work lolWould cutting some windows in the side and covering them with screen and duct tape work? Gotta get the duct tape in there somehow ;-).
Mancorn the plants are roasting out there. 113 degrees in there today. Here’s a video. They seem to be doing great regardless of the heat and have been showing nice signs of growth the last couple days.. after hardly any since I planted them. They were just a little shocked from the transplant. I believe I’ve been better managing their water too as I’ve been letting the soil get dryer before watering again. I feel overwatering was an issue before.How's it going out there today Bigdope? Think it's even hotter today (and suppose to be as warm tomorrow).
Sounds like thrips.I applied a general hydroponic azamax on their last watering for bugs but there’s some critters eating away at my leaves. They are so tiny you can hardly see them but they look like little worms. I mean you really have to get up to the leaf to see. They seem to be leaving behind little white marks and holes but very very tiny. Any ideas what they are?

They wil leave similar damage as mites, but normally the white spots are bunched together in clusters (where mites leave a more uniform pattern of dots). They're pretty common. You can use neem, Spinoside, or any insecticide soup.
No I’m sure there thrips bc they are tiny like that and that color. I mean you really have to look hard to see them. Also, the pattern and damage to leaf is exactly that of a thrip from what I’ve been looking atYou sure are the dark in colour and look like a little slug ? If so it could be pear n cherry slug ?
Thrip are attracted to the colour blue you can buy stick traps for them we use them in our nursery at work give that a go as well . OD .The azamax seemed to help some as I’m not seeing any more in the soil however top layer was dry. I did find quite a few still on leaves. I’m going to try out spinoside first, everyone is saying that’s what works best and knocks them out.

This couldn’t be more perfect timing, I’m at the hydroponic store right now buying spinosad to spray the leaves and I couldn’t remember what else I needed but that’s what I was going to get. I read online it helps..good to have some confirmation from you as well. 113 in the Green House is going to be too much once you roll into flower. I did multiple grows in a green house. I used a 7 x 15 hoop style off of Amazon. It worked but I also had head issues. Cutting some holes in the sides down low and covering with a fine screen material is a start. Secondly the exhausts fan is a great idea. From what I remember reading about greenhouses you want an air exchange at least every minute. I would say every 30 seconds would be better. So if you got 700 cubic feet I would say at least a fan rated at 1000 CFM's. The last thing I would suggests is Alumishade. It is a cover that helps bring the temperature down in the green house but the down side is that is cuts down on the amount of light that gets thru into the green house. You will probably be in flower around the first week of July and got thru into September. These are typically hot months in the US so anything you can do to get the temperature down it helpful. I ran a crop during that time and had weeks of days in the 100's. It was not good for the plants. Lost Terps as a result. I would totally cut the vents as low as you can and try and put the vents at one end and the exhaust at the other end. The reason I would put the vent low and the exhaust high is to move as much cool air thru the greenhouse as possible. Hot air raises so you want to get as much cool air as you can. I ended up with a 4" exhaust fan running 24/7 and I had a 6" on a thermostat. I got the thermostat off Amazon for like 30 bucks they are programable and work well. Also take a look at light dep, involved covering and uncovering the greenhouse everyday at the same time but you can produce some stuff really close to indoor if you get it dialed in.What’s up anthem, thanks for checking inAnd yeah the heat is a real issue right now. All week has been low hundreds and I was thinking about cutting vents like you said. Do you think they would be more beneficial at the bottom or the top though? Wouldn’t being near roof allow hot air to escape, or you think I’m okay with just the exhaust fan? And thanks I do need to look into other shade covers I just have the green one the greenhouse came with. Good to know I will see about making adjustments for very hot days later on closer to flower, possibly moving out of greenhouse so they don’t get so heat stressed
Sounds good I will probably cut vents here soon. What I’m going to do it’s bring the plants up off the ground and have a vent on the bottom of each side of tent. This way smart pots and plants will have a little better drainage and air flow. I’ve thought about doing light dep but decided to just try it in the open sun for the first run and see how it goes. I was trying to keep cost to a minimum, this grow already was more than I wanted to spend. You don’t realize it but all this shit adds up at the end of the week lol But oh well, I’m happy. I just need these girls to be healthy and produce some nice crop! I will do light dep in the future just need to get everything.
