This is the start of my grow with two Medical Seeds White Widow fem seeds.

I germinated one seed and since that took and sprouted, I germinated the other. The second one went into soil today, the first one went into soil yesterday. I will likely try to make one a mother for clones so I can keep the strain for a few grows at least.

I have a 4x4 tent for the main grow, and a 2x2 for a mother if I go that route. Using about 400ish watts of various LEDs in the main tent.

I plan to go from plastic cups to 2 gallon pots and onto 5 gallon buckets for finishing.

Tent is sitting in the mid to upper 70s. I still need to get a fan in there for circulation.

Some more growth over the last 5 days. Hoping there's lots of root development happening.

Not a crazy amount of growth. Still hoping they are rooting well underneath and will take off soon. I'll likely transplant in the next week to a larger container. I also started a Skunk 47 by World of Seeds. That one is roughly 1 week behind the others.

Thanks all for the tips! I definitely don't remember everything I used to know. Being on this site is great. Lots of useful and interesting recourses and topics from members.

I will dim the lights some more, as it's currently sitting 50 inches above the seedlings. I have a 7 foot tall tent, so I could also raise it. But less power is cheaper on the electricity bill, so I see the advantage of dimming more.

I also do let them dry out pretty well, but happen to take pictures after waterings. I let them get light enough that it doesn't feel like much/any water is left in the soil. Then I'll water, sometimes til a little runoff happens and sometimes a bit under that.

I ended up with a few extra seeds than when I started the grow, so I may setup the 2x2x4 foot tent for seedlings and early veg. I have some fluorescent bulb fixtures I made years ago (just cfl bulbs and 3 way splitters) that I could use in there. I'd likely do that for new seeds that I pop and not the current ones. Not sure yet :)

The plants seemed to like the lower amount of light. They started to have some issues, which I believe was due to lack of nutrients. The soil is semi-used and old. New growth seems ok so far overall. The slow growth may also have been due to my exhaust fan running when the lights were out at full chooch. So temps during the day were 82 at that time, and 58 during lights off. When I dimmed the lights I fixed that, and now it's upper 70s lights on and lower 70s to high 60s lights off.

The two white widows are in larger pots now, and the Skunk 47 will be transplanted tomorrow. The 4th plant is a Purple Maroc. I have my 2x2x4 tent setup and waiting, so one of these plants may go in there. Could be as a mother, could be as a small scrog. No set plan yet.

All 4 plants are in larger buckets, but very likely not the last one they'll be in. I forgot to take a picture of the Purple Maroc after transplanting. It had a rough go as I dropped two different things on it during transplant. Heh, poor thing. It'll be ok.

I also have some marigolds in there. They were in solo cups up until this point. They'll probably dislike being so crowded, but better those than the weed! It's getting the same water and/or nutes as the weed. Probably not the best idea, but I'm going to find out.

So it turns out I'm not using soil, but coco + perlite. That may have been where my early issues came from with nutrients, and the lack of. I'm so used to FFOF that I didn't even think twice, until I looked at the "soil" bag. Either way, I think it's going pretty well now.

Transplanted both White Widows to 5 gallon buckets, as well as the Skunk 47. The first two went good, but the skunk lost half of the media in transplanting. Might have had a bit too much weight in the soil from the previous watering. The good news is it didn't lose that many roots. There were the feelers going down to the bottom, but being the smallest plant at that time might have given it a lucky break. Most of the root mass was not really messed with. Actually, I did proceed to drop it in a half filled 5 gal soil bucket from waist height. Poor plant. Seems happy now.

I used FFOF (Fox Farm Ocean Forrest) for the extra media during this transplant. Things got a little spicy on nutes and have had a watering or two since with a little sledgehammer. Seems like the tips are a little hot and curled, so I'll keep an eye on that. I'm not particularly skilled at keeping my plants 100% healthy.

I have no plans to train these, so now I'm sitting and contemplating when to flip. I keep thinking at the beginning of December. Especially if I leave that Purple Maroc in the 2.5 or 3 gallon bucket it's in.

Things seem to be going good, I flipped on the 23rd I believe. So that should hopefully mean they start flowering right about Dec 1st. Marigolds filled in nicely and have been blooming. Catnip I have no idea when is ready, but the kitties should have a nice fresh Christmas treat :)

Not the best photos, I apologize. I added a 400 watt HID light, which is kind of looking like a mistake. Heat became an issue for a little bit. It may still be an issue for one plant, or maybe it's just thirstier than I thought. Only running it at half power, instead of pulling it like I probably should. But I'm stubborn and curious. It's a small personal grow and I enjoy the ride, mistakes and all. Like how I left the lights on around the tent 2 hours into the sleep cycle last night. It wasn't a bright light and the tent was closed, so we will see if that did anything.

Anyway, they're all flowering. Just some waiting and watering/feeding now.

Here they are coming up on 3 weeks of flowering tomorrow. Temps and everything have been good, sitting right around 78 degrees F. I even have the 400 watt HID going at full power. So for lighting I have a total of around 1000 watts split between HID/LED.

Still going, but a bit busy with other aspects in life. The Skunk 47 is a little unhealthy now, I believe from some nutrient issue. Others are healthy enough. I don't have great photos currently, but near/at harvest I will. First is skunk, second is white widow.

I chopped the Purple Maroc last night. Smallest of the plants, and was in the 3 gallon-ish square pot compared to the rest in 5 gallons. I left a bunch of popcorn bud to ripen a little more. I'll use that for something like edibles. It's around 10-15% ambers and the rest cloudy for the trichs. I'm thinking maybe 2-3 oz when dried.

The other plants are nearing the end as well. I'd like to chop at least one of the two white widows when they're mostly amber, so I'll see how far I can push one.
