There is so much bro science and bad info out there where should they even look? Youtube HAS A LOT OF HACKS. Reddit is a cess pool....
So I would recommend just college text books for botany, micro biology any of that. I just see A LOT of people coming here for help with some expert they know giving them awful info. Just cause someone has grown a long time , they still only typically have anecdotal thoughts and evidence. Just my thoughts, anyone have anything to Add? Object? Anything? How can we help newcomers?

I think one key principle is that all the systems work, but you can't necessarily mix and match the pieces. Watering coco is different from watering soil. Feeding synthetic bottles is different from using organic dry amendments or living soil. Lighting a tent full of hydro plants with supplemental CO2 is different from lighting a hand-watered soil grow with ambient CO2. And so on. If a new grower is determined to learn on social media, my recommendation is to find someone to follow who 1) consistently grows gardens you'd want, and 2) is a good teacher. They're out there, but as you said, the signal-to-noise ratio is pretty low.
