There are readily available products, PH up and PH down. One is an acid, the other a base. So if you want to raise the ph you add the base (PH Up), to lower the PH you add the acid (PH Down). These are strong chemicals, you don’t need much, usually a capful or two to a couple gallons. You only need these products if you’re using synthetic nutrients. Just as a warning, do not ever mix the pure acid and pure base together, the results will produce a very vigorous reaction (like mixing vinegar and baking soda). I still think as a beginner a simple 2 part organic veg-bloom dry fertilizer would be easier for you.Sad thing is, I don't know what I want. I was hoping for a little more clarification with this thread but I think I am more confused than before I started.I did learn about flushing and flipping with certainty
How do you change the Ph of the solution once mixed?
How do you get through life without a car? I couldn’t imagine. You won’t need any nutes just yet. You should be fine with that fox farms before nutes are needed. Several people have stated that ocean forest you purchased can be “too hot” for seedlings. My personal experience with the soil was not that great. I didn’t like the growth upon seeding and when it got beyond that stage I had other problems I wasn’t happy with. At this point you just need some solo cups with some holes cut in it and some soil and some water. Not really. My next day off is not until Friday. Seeds will be here Wed.
I think there is one not too far from my work but getting there is difficult on a bus.
Please don’t ever flush, the ph and flushing jargon is no good. In soil you should leave all that alone.Sad thing is, I don't know what I want. This is new. I just noticed it recently as well. Through me for a loop as also.

I like simple... for the line, what would you suggest in that line? All I know is I need nutrients... I do not know what nutrients. There are so many out there and they all do different things. I assume I need one to aid in the vegetation process and the flowering process. It seems that there is more needed than just those two things.
I do not know why this is so hard for me.... but I cannot figure out what it is I actually need. I am leaning toward this, Flora Series nutrients plus CALiMAGic, because it is a complete line all in one package. I cannot say I like that it is synthetic, but this is the simplicity I am looking for.
I need clear direction, "here, try this, this and this, it works great".
Starting something new is so awkward.
That sounds simple enough. Any recommendations?I still think as a beginner a simple 2 part organic veg-bloom dry fertilizer would be easier for you.
I'm cheap and do not want to pay for parking. Street parking is a pain, especially in winter. Busses aren't bad, except for waiting for them, or having to sit near dirty and smelly people... but it's not horribleHow do you get through life without a car?
I have noticed that. Disappointing as I purchased a bag. I have seen other threads where some have said it was good from start to harvest. I will grab a bag of happy frog.Several people have stated that ocean forest you purchased can be “too hot” for seedlings.
I can see that. I would have never thought of flushing. To me that is like over-watering. That is another topic that worries me. Proper watering. I need to learn not to be so heavy with watering and not over water. Please don’t ever flush, the ph and flushing jargon is no good. In soil you should leave all that alone.
So I understand why you are confused, it’s bnutty here from time to time.
You flush and you’ll end up tailspinning into a myriad of deficiencies and a starving plant
LOL.... avatar is small.... A couple of years ago I started learning 3D Animation and modeling. She is one of my characters. I have an entire cast of characters. I have some fun ideas for things but cannot write for sh*t.P.S since you posted this thread I thought your avatar was black eyes or black bags. I didn’t realize it was supposed to be makeup. Super glad you aren’t getting beat up.
General Hydroponics that sells the Flora series also has a line called General Organics BioThrive. I use to use the Biothrive because it's organic but it smells like crap (because it's organic) and also clogs automatic watering systems, that's why I switched to the synthetic line Flora series they offer.I do not know why this is so hard for me.... but I cannot figure out what it is I actually need. I've never mixed organic nutrients with water. I top dress dry nutrients and then water them in. Adding fresh soil on top will suppress odors, as will a carbon exhaust filter.General Hydroponics that sells the Flora series also has a line called General Organics BioThrive. Also synthetics mix into water much easier then organic nutes and synthetic will not separate from the water if you are mixing a few gallons at a time, the organic will separate and leave residue on water containers.
When you flush you fuck up the electrical charge of the soil and nutrients won't be able to do their thing until it corrects. In the end everything is just sharing electrons with one another and charge mattersPlease don’t ever flush, the ph and flushing jargon is no good. In soil you should leave all that alone.

Right before harvest or whenever is counterintuitive.
I’m gonna back away slowly now.
Best of luck
You are not going to need any nutrients right now, the seedlings will be fine with plain water, I have never used any Fox farm but most here have and can tell you how long you can go without nutes in that soil.. Again since I use pro-mix hp I cant say how much or any perlite you may need to add.I can do this! :)
No not really... but I am grabbing bits and pieces of what I can understand.... Since I have decided to go with Ocean Forest soil I guess I am looking at those that use this too.
I see a 4 bottle set on Amazon for 56.00. I found perlite for around 14.00. I have not looked up rice hulls. Do I need all of this? Should I use synthetic nutrients with organic soil?
I purchased those little peat cups for seeding, then into a small pot until bushy. I have 5 gal canvas bags for the final. Isn't that too big for such a small plant? I was thinking of using the small pot next to the peat cups I bought in the image above for a 2nd pot. Get it a good 6-10 inches and a bit bushy before planting in the large 5 gal. Is that wrong?
IMPORTANT HERE!
Looks like I will need an Amazon order for nutrients.
I hope that just liquid nutrients will be sufficient, trying to mix all the dry together for 3 five gallon pots will be a bit much for me in this small apartment. I do not have a lot of extra storage for the left overs as well as a container to mix 15 gal of soil. LOL.
- So do I just need perlite? Or do I just need the Flora Series or do I need both. Both would be around 70.00. Do I need these now?
- What about Vermiculite and Clay pebbles - These were recommended on the perlite amazon video to be mixed together.
- Would mixing the soil, perlite,Vermiculite and Clay pebbles be enough? or do I still need nutrients in the water too?
- I will get Ph strips to test the water and/or the watering mix of nutrients.
- Should I get some aquarium gravel for the bottom of the pots for drainage?
- Out of everything above, what is the most important. Still on a budget LOL.
Fingers crossed!!
LoL what?
What do you think that youre adding for cannabis living soils that isnt there for blueberries? Theyre both acid loving plants
I have no idea why my text is bold, im not shouting
