Soil and Nutes?

Hey all! I was wondering if it was ok to use these together when im ready to flower. Im using..

Greenthumb Pro organic potting mix w/ time release fert. That is-
(N) 0.08%
(P) 0.12%
(K) 0.08

And Fox Farm Big Bloom thats-
(N) 0.01%
(P) 0.3%
(K) 0.7%

What strains are you growing? Landrace sats? Indicas?

From what I understand, if you're growing organically, you shouldn't have to micro-manage npk.

You could always mix up a batch and build up the dosage as the plant dictates.

I'm no expert andy but... I think that time-release stuff should be subtle enough... I use the fox farm nutes.... I think you should be fine ;) My money just made it to Spain today! Can't wait to try those G-13 Haze crosses!

Hard to say. Time release fertilizers for container growing scare me. Any way I can convince you to use Sunshine #4 and use just liquid ferts. Over fertile soil can spoil a good crop too easily.

time release ferts are tricky.
some plants do fine with it..some dont.
i, usually dont recommend it. its too unpredictable. especially in pots.
and theres no way to control the doseage other than manipulating waterings.
no tanks.

generally speaking...
humphrey bogart is correct.
its hard to burn plants with true organics..
it can be done... but its hard.

u should be fine with what you have listed, andy.
just start off the dosages of fox farms liquids at half strength and work your way up...
they can be quite hot, even for organics....

sunshine is good mix
promix hp is good too

a good base is
1 bale promix hp (or other soilless of choice)
2 bags fox farm ocean forest
1 large bag of perlite.

promix approx $25-30/bale
2 bags fox farm ocean forest $30ish...shipping and availability issues, usually, here.
1 bag perlite. $10-15 tops.

so, for approx $75 youve got enough, great, starting soil to fill approx 32 5 gal pots.
great deal, if you askin me....

and, more often than not, only added feed is a shot of N 1st week of flower and a bud booster 3rd and 4th week of flower.
thats if we use anything at all.

Hub, so you usually only add nutes twice in flower? Im using ocean forest now and Im in third week of flower havent feed yet and they look great, dark green and all.Not a soil guy so should I add nutes at all?

yeah, sometimes, only feed 2 or 3 times.
all depends on the strain and the richness of the starting soil.

Thanks Hubcap, you answered my question in another thread but the strains I have in soil are Kong, and super sour diesel. I'll try to get some pics later today.
