Wonderful garden brother... was wonderin if you figured out where you got the RA's from. I know for my chow mix grow I will be sterilizing my chow mix on a home made steamer like this one... http://www.mapleleafnews.com/DoitYourself.htm I just hope it is enough.

Hope you get them knocked out brother.

Pretty sure they came with my soil but who knows. I little flyer could easily follow me in there as well but my $$$ is on the soil. That soil sterilizer is cool!

Thanks for checking in.

Thanks again to Motiv, BigCheese and Alien for all the help. I watered in enough predatory nematodes to treat an acre of land. That combined with the Insect Frass and Caps bennies should be fairly solid treatment for the remainder of this run. There is some yellowing starting to appear a bit but it's not too bad. Only 3 of the 24 plants actually look somewhat effected and their weight will be low for sure. Hopefully I can keep the RA's knocked back enough to finish this run fairly successfully.

DAY 29 (it's currently day 30)

FPOG x Alien Diesel #1 (I believe SMF just named it Sour Pebbles)

Starfighter #1

White Fire Alien #1

Time to get back in there to leaf like crazy! More pics coming soon! Hoping to get some lights off photos within the next couple days.

I hope this finds you all well.

Respect

Most definitely Goo! I've been taking a lot of pics but they haven't been coming out so well. I want to get in there to remove a bunch of fan leaves and then get lights off pics. I'll try to get a bunch up within a day or two.

Thanks SOG! Much appreciated man. I'm a bit bummed that I got bugs on my first run in the beds and things look about a week behind schedule but it is what it is. All I can do is bust ass and try to make this the best run possible given the circumstances.

Thanks Fox! Yeah I'm REALLY impressed with the Starfighter. Alien knocked it out of the park with that one for sure.

So here's the tea recipe I'm using for this brew (It's Alien's tea recipe with some of my tweaks). For Alien's exact recipe refer to this link https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/alien-genetics-organic-feeding-program.37834/page-14

1. 4 gals bubbled tap water
2. 4 TBSP Root pack, 4 TBSP Nute pack, 4 TBSP Foliar pack (Capulators bennies)
3. 100ml earth juice hi-brix molasses
4. Stocking full of 8 cups General Organics Humisoil
5. 1 to 1.5 handfuls Alfalfa meal
6. 50ml Liquid Kelp
7. 2 cups Insect Frass
8. 1 cup Organic Bountea Bioactivator
9. 1 cup Organic Bountea Fungal Activator

I'll let this bubble for 48 hours then add Bountea Better Bloom (B3) an hour or two before use. This gets diluted in a 32 gal trash can full (minus 4 gals for the tea) of bubbled tap and watered in immediately by hand. Then I top dress the soil with the contents of the stocking.

Whats is insect frass? I can look it up, I guess but I want to know what is, why you used it what it offers. Soo much new biz in the biz.

All that ... some exciteR or Evergreen will do them. I see you ran with some nematodes. I hope they have a species that will rock them dudes. At the time of my battle, the folks at Natures Contro, told me they didn't have ave a nematode species that actually fought the RA. They said they said RA live in the whole container where the one they sold workd only top few inches of soil. It has been almost 2 years so maybe things have changed.

Hey GP this is from their site.

"Insect Frass naturally contains the nutrition plants require, beneficial micro-organisms, and the only immediately plant-available source of chitin (pronounced “Kite-in”). Chitin fortifies a plant from the inside out, causing an "auto-immune" response that signals a plant to produce natural toxins which fend off its natural enemies like pests and fungal pathogens. The EPA says that chitin and chitosan (see FAQ's) defend against botrytis (grey mold), powdery mildew, early and late blight, fungal pathogens in the root zone (root rot) and root-feeding nematodes. Insect Frass does NOT cause a plant to kill beneficial insects or beneficial nematodes."

bigcheese has been using it for a bit and said it has knocked out his fungus gnats so I figured I'd check it out.

Shit D, things are looking killer bro! You aint lyin, that White Fire Alien is bangin out the trich coverage, im anxious to see how it finishes, still got that one to pop myself. This plan of attack on the RA should work really well and it sounds like you are ON IT! Keep killin it D, the garden looks great homie. Peace out my brother! Motiv

What up GP! So, the species of nematode D is using is Steinernema Feltiae, which are the same ones I used to help rid myself of my RA's. You are correct that RA do live in and affect the entire container and that most soil living nematodes mainly work in the top several inches of the soil, including this species. During my use of them i did however see the nematodes all throughout my 4" pots all the way up to 7 gal containers takin on the ra top to bottom (more heavily near the top) and even in my saucers. No nematode that i know of will fully kill an ra population, but they did very effectively, in my case, keep the colony of ra much smaller and kept them from needing to grow to the "flyer" stage to seek a less crowded home and continue spreading new eggs and keeping their population growing. The nematodes, along with caps bennies allowed me to pull a decent harvest without having to hit my plants in flower with harsh chemicals, which is D's goal here since the ra were discovered after he flipped the plants to flower. Basically the smaller the ra colony is, the less damage they do and hopefully with the use of the nematodes, bennefical bacteria and fungi, plus the frass, D will be able to pull off a fat harvest with the least amount of ra damage as possible. The plants in veg of course are getting nuked to kill the ra population there so next round there arent any ra to deal with. Basically a plan of control rather than full irradication until harvest is done. Hope that made sense. Peace to ya GP! Rap soon brother! Motiv

Yes you can. Just google "Steinernema Feltiae- buy" or nematodes and you'll find places. The closer to you you can find em, the better, so search around a bit. A lot of the places that ship them are in cali though. D got his through gardeningzone.com. which is supplied by Tip Top Biologicals. There are several places that ship them, but the fresher you can get them, again, the better. Hope that helps homie, they arent exactly cheap btw. Peace brother, hit me up by pm if you need more help. Motiv
