Soil Opinions? First grow inside

Hey guys I'm doing an indoor grow and am using 1/3 pt miracle grow moisture control and 2/3 pt seed starter mix by jiffy..... Opinions?

I've never done miracle grow and i've heard nothing but bad things about it. Hopefully someone can come along and verify that for me.

I would avoid anything with moisture control, weed likes a soil that drains well and in soil the soak--dry cycle is really important to avoid problems, even outdoors you want to avoid clay soils because the roots sitting in wet is bad for them.

That's why I only used 1 part of moisture control to 3 parts of well draining seed starter mix to retain a small amount of moisture in the soil to help keep from the soil drying out 100% it'd be at minimum 94.5% dry but not "Sitting" in water
