I too run ss#4. But I add worm castings and clay unscented kitty litter.
Depends on the plant. I use my tds pen to measure ppm. I usually start everything about 100ppm above my tap water reading. On seeds I start nutes after the 2nd set of serated leaves. On clones I use rapid rooters, once I see roots then they go into a solo cup and give em the same as mentioned above.
