Yeah, bugs can be a real bitch. I remember back in the day trying to spray an infestation of aphids with a hose sprayer. What a joke. Any I was able to spray off were right back on the next day along with thousands of sisters, all pregnant

I honestly can't stress IPM enough. Every time I have a breakdown in following my regimen is when I'm sorely reminded why IPM works. Or I can just provide de Kind for the bugs

Integrated Pest Management. You become an expert on the pests and then target them with their own natural enemies. You need to learn their life cycle to know when to spray or introduce predators most efficiently. (yes, it's a pain in the ass, but like everything else, good in the long run)

Integrated Pest Management system. It’s using insecticides to control the bugs. Personally I only use OMRI Organic Materials Review Institute) organic rated. Neem is my go to as it is an insecticide, miticide and fungicide controlling aphids, spider mites and PM.

There's Captain Jacks Deadbug brew (spinosad), Bt and Southern Ag's fungicide all biological, all OMRI rated. It's very important to follow instructions and aways wash sprayed plants before harvest as well as giving sprayed plants time for the spray to breakdown.

All these natural sprays have a half life of about 1.5 days so 3 days minimum before wash and harvest.

I use a hose sprayer but dipping branches in a H2O2 or lite dish soap mix would even be better yet I've had no issues from just spraying them with water.

Plumber is right, but you still need to learn about the pests so maybe you don't have to spray all the time.
And if you go the natural predator route, you'll have to delay your offense until the defense shows up. Can be difficult seeing those bad guys munching away for a week or so, but there has to be something for the good bugs to go after.

I've watched flowers on an entire plant die from budworms eating stems. That cured me of trying soap and beneficial insects. Bt EVERY 5 DAYS puts an end to those bastards. And every time I spray the plants with anything little moths fly up and out. They are constantly laying eggs on flowers.

I'm working too hard to produce my own meds and enjoyable smoke and refuse to share it any longer with the fking bugs

At at about the 4:50 mark Hi C says, "Before fighting them I want to avoid them..." No shit Indoors is easier to control if you're willing to retain a zero tolerance to clothes worn outside allowed near your indoor grow. It's possible but very impractical. You've got to juggle the pros and cons.

I haven't grown indoors in over 45 years so I really don't/can't say too much with any practical experience as back then i tried to keep it clean, usually showered always changed clothes but certainly not spotless and didn't have/notice any bugs. What I would have done if I did get bugs I can't imagine. Probably thrown the whole thing out. I could hear it now, "Bringing bugs into our house?" Yeah, it would've all got tossed.

Bugs outside is a given. You never have 0 bugs on your plants. NEVER. I can't stress that enough.

One of the worst is the budworms. A catch all name for dozens and dozens of moth species that will lay eggs on your plants and do their best to fill their bellies until full, dropping off and burrowing into the soil and waiting to start the whole circle of life again. It's a battle.

I harvested 2 plants this past summer, GDP's that the flowers were skeletons of flowers due to aphids with the outter leaves covering through the drying and curing period. They went in the compost. 4-5 months for nothing. Horse shit. That's my weed.

Yes, wash those plants if you have to spray them. Small price to pay. Afterwards watch the temps and rh, you don't want bud rot here. A fan not on the flower but moving air in the room/tent etc.

I'm outside. Open greenhouses, one with standard LED's for 15hr veg days and unlit house and outside to flip and I always have some bugs so every grow i have to spray or I risk losing the plant or a large part of it.

I dry in a 2 car garage and an 8x8x8' chicken coop. It's working for me as long as I stay with the plan.

IPM. Don't grow without it
