I ended up going with FF happy frog and ocean forest, I picked up the four pack (3 main +cal mag) of the fox farm liquid nutes
my question is about some things I picked up a couple summers back for some yard plants (non reefer) and should I incorporate them in the current cannagrow/use to amend my soil/forget about 'em
I have a bag of recharge
and a bottle of liquid Dyna-Pro foliage pro 9-3-6
there is also a bag of blood meal 14-0-0

how would ya'll treat this situation
I feel lost about this recharge. does it have room in a FF grow?
I just fed for the first time two or three days ago, 50% deluted big bloom and the cal mag week 1
thanks

You're running a synthetic grow, so the recharge will work, but not as well as it would in an organic grow. The blood meal is organic (and hot), so be careful. Don't know anything about Dyna-Pro, or at what stage your plants are in. For the FF trio follow the dose chart on their website, for your media. Don't use the instructions on the bottle. I always go light (50%-75%) on the FF nutes. Water to runoff, to reduce the chances of a lockout.

Huh well you got enough nutes that’s for sure.

The liquid Dyna-Pro foliage pro 9-3-6 is a veg nute on it own so adding anything isn’t needed

If you do ever use do not use it as a foiler spray.

The blood meal is just n

I don’t know what fox farm nutes you have but mixing them up with above is a bad idea.

Really you’ve got a synthetic liquid grow nute & an organic version of n there not really compatible. Ok advanced growers could work it out so they used et all over time but it’s not easy

I’d stick with the fox farm 3 for this grow & as said use it at 1/4 then half strength never using it at full strength

The recharge along with fox farm nutes should be fine if you don’t over do it

No offence just debating ( so my knowledge stays up to date ) 🙂
Are they if they only used the fox farm trio wouldn’t that be organic

I thought fox farm nutes were ?
I'm pretty sure just the big bloom and cal mag is organic. when I noticed both soils were organic I thought I would go that direction, but decided to keep it simple for my first run in years, when I noticed.

so with the recharge would/should I add it at all waterings/feedings/or every other week/once a month
I'm not sure why I bought it even. it was being pushed on amazon.
I want the best I can get, but I don't want trouble if I can help it

Grow big and tiger bloom are synthetic, big bloom (0-.5 -.7) and bush doctor are organic. I’d save the recharge for a full organic grow.

almost forgot that I have a bag of food grade diatomaceous earth, and seen folks are using it.
anyone here using? what ratio to soil. should it be mixed in the soil before transplant, anything to lookout for? would it be pointless to add it to the top layer of soil only?
also is DE effective against spider mites

Water to runoff, to reduce the chances of a lockout.
anything else that might reduce it, I'm using tap water
and for those using tap, do you let it sit out overnight for the watering or feedings
thanks folks

For right now set your Dyno-Pro and Blood Meal aside. More on the Recharge and DE later. And don't get caught up in all this organic, salts / syn crap. They will all party together. It's the useless humans that get all jacked up over it. The plants don't give two shits one way or the other. Grow Big is your main food from late seedling til flower. Tiger Bloom is your main flower food. Big Bloom is your speed tea / booster. It's concentrated worm and bat crap in a bottle. And can be used in combo with either product or on it's own. And is ideal to use with the Recharge. Once your plants get to going and everything is right. Environment and lighting is good it's common to feed and water once a week. Do your normal feeding with Grow Big or Tiger Bloom and then water with Big Bloom and Recharge. And remember to shake the bottles up like a wild man before use. DE goes in all my soil. It's a good slow release natural way to get trace amounts of silica. It pays off more as you reuse your soil. But in the short term if kills bad and good bugs in your soil. I don't want any bugs or worms in my soil, office or home. If your a soil critter you have NO home here,,, BYE! You have the good basic making for a good basic grow. Enjoy!

I don’t care witch way someone grows
Each has there own benefits & downfalls
It’s the growers choice in the end.
As for soil critters some are not your enemy there’s folk growing in worms & organic grows you want microbes in the soil you don’t want to kill then off.
Interesting to know not et all with ff is organic.
About your water yes most will let it sit depending what’s in the water.

thanks for you folks replies
I still wonder if I should be looking at the PPM meter, not sure what numbers I should try for.
considering the FF lineup, and the detailed feed schedule, I wonder if I should just not worry about it
any info opinions write ups of video links would be appreciated. I never used one in my old grows.

Sure,,, you can never have to many data points. I just bought a Apera PC60 5 in 1 meter. I have little to no use for EC or TDS in my current grow style. But who knows and my older meters were getting long on the tooth. You can never have to many tools...

Less is More. Once U have to much nutes (nutrient lockout) You'll Always USE Half of depends on soil and drainage/ container

Do your normal feeding with Grow Big or Tiger Bloom and then water with Big Bloom and Recharge
following this, the ladies will not get straight water, let's say I need to water a third time in the week. I'd always add the recharge and big bloom, when not feeding with grow big(in veg).
and considering I'm on the FF soils what amount/ratio of recharge should I go with
I have little to no use for EC or TDS in my current grow style
so Is there ever a time when I should care about PPM numbers. I picked up a 4 in 1 meter and now see all the numbers spot on,
some years back I had a good grow going but never once looked at PPM, but then again I was only using PH tester drops too.
but now that I have a meter, I want to know how to know how to use it. any videos or websites that can explain it, that folks have come across would be appreciated
thanks
