PS One thing I think many of you most likely fail to consider is distance from ballast to lamp. When using HPS, you are extremely taxing that ignitor if you are out of spec range. But you can get the proper ignitor. And I've seen issue about interference. Most ignitors are going to fire at 2500-5000 volts. And when you're using regular SO and even romex, that's only good for 600 volts. So get some shielded cable, run in emt, or run in fmc (looks like armored cable) and make sure to ground it to reduce signal noise.
