So here's my grow box I built last week. 4x4.6x8 (the inside still needs to be painted flat white)
I'm using t5 hos for vegging and a 600watt hps for flowering

1) Would a valuline 6in 435cfm be adequate to pull air throughout my light and carbon filter? Then push it through my window?

2) Or should I use a 12 in valuline with supposedly over 1000 cfm or an 8 in with 745 cfm to be on the safe side? Will reducers effect air flow? Which one of the 3 would you use? Pros/cons?

3) should I use booster fan or passive intake? Why? How big of a booster fan? How big of a passive intake hole?

4) Also is this fixture high output? It says HO in the title But not in the details

You're basically just exhausting the heat from the bulb before it gets a chance to build up. As long as cooler air is constantly pushed/pulled through, the hot air will be removed and exhausted. Cabinet I had, was 18" x 30", with a 250w hps. Since I couldn't find a hood that was 18" or less wide, I needed to build my own.. wood, picture frame, glass, and 5" muffin fans. You could set up a 2-fan scenario, with a fan pulling through the filter, then have another fan at the other side of the hood to pull as well. I had mine set on a dimmer switch and ran both at 1/2 speed.. reduced the noise.

By the way.. I like that hood.. what's the dimensions? :D
