So I have made bubble hash before and although it turned out good, I am interested in trying to make dry sift hash.

With the bubblebhash method there were many steps. From what I have seen on YouTube dry sifting seems much easier and if using already cured buds and trim the end product is usable right away. No drying required. Scoop up your hash Just sprinkle on some bud in a bowl and light it up. Is this a correct assumption?

Also i want to make sure I am using the correct terminology. Is what I would be making actually kief? What is the difference between kief and hash?

Dose dry sifting make a better product than bubble/ice water hash?

Can I dry sift fresh frozen buds? Seems like that would take the "dry" out of dry sift.

Can I sift my leftover buds from last year?

I grow my own and have a huge crop this year so yeild is not an issue.

Can I store my hash in a jar right away after sifting?

What exactly is a hash pipe? Is there a vaporizer specifically for hash?

Sorry for all the questions. When trying to google on this subect it seems people are using hash, kief, dab, concentrate interchangeably then my brain just shuts down.

Thanks in advance!

Hey there you have a lot of questions haha. Hopefully I can answer a few of them.
First of all I am no expert. I do however have a few years of growing various cannabis plants and dry sieve hash is what I like to do quite often. I have also done bubble hash and yeah it is kind of a pain unless you have a washing machine. Bubble hashes higher quality in my opinion than dry steep hash but it's is essentially the same thing. I believe the names come from whatever process you use.
I use a riot box to get my dry sieve and yes you want to grind up your bud and freeze it for several hours as it makes it much easier for the trichomes to fall through the sieve. I know some people use several different screen sizes to get better quality but I just use a hundred mesh and call it good.
Also the strain that you grow and use for hash has a lot to do with the outcome. I grew some kundozkush this year and it made a ton of hash that was very sticky and I was able to make something very similar to a temple ball. Last year I grew a mutant variety that made a lot of hash but it was a very sandy and grainy and would barely clump together for pressing.
Overall I really like doing the dry sieve because I put it straight into my dynavap and I'm good.. I consume a lot less plan material this way. That's also really easy to make tinctures and various edibles with.
Hopefully this answered some of your questions
