moist the damn whole soil at the time of transplant till a little run off.

roots grow and expand faster than you might think and they won't trhive in too dry medium.

also moisting the soil activate microbial life in the soil and roots will always find water as they grow the first few weeks and i repeat they can grow real fast.

then you shouldn't need to water for a week or so, and then for a few weeks until the plant get big enough related to pot size, you could water with smaller amount than first watering (like half) for a few weeks, remoisting gently the whole soil top layer (so it don't dry too much and become hydrophobic) then concentrating what remain around the trunk of the young plant again waiting a week or so between watering.

Update on autos 11 days later they looking pretty good so far

I'm going to try some autos also outdoors in fabric pots along with phenos, thinking about doing 6 autos and 6 phenos. First time growing autoflower. I live in NE Ohio, just waiting for the weather.
