Speed controller for Mag Drive Pump?

Is there a way I can slow down my large mag dive pumps. Is it safe to put a fan speed controller on it? Or maybe a ball valve before or after the pump....

I don't think you can use a speed controller on them.

Either a ball valve to restrict the flow or maybe a cycle timer?

I'd say the ball valve cause everytime u turn off a mag drive you run the chance of it not coming back on :(

Ain't that the truth. Same with light bulbs....

A valve will do the trick. But restricting the flow will load up the pump. I use intall a t After the pump to bleed off the presure back to the rez wihich will then aerate your nutes. I do this on all installs. JK

Going have to go out and buy a smaller size pump that fits your needs.

The pump life will die vary vary VARY soon. Just like if you did that is any Grow lamp....
