One more question- what happens if there are still some living mites when i harvest? will they die when the plant is dried out? or will they keep on living through that and in my jars?

If you look carefully, you'll notice the mites don't really penetrate the buds.

At best, they pittle abit over the tops, but never delve into the flowers themselves.

I don't think the resin would allow them to live there.

Sun- I just cant risk spraying the buds OR dipping them in a bath-tub, even with a/c it is hot and humid where i am and mold is biggest worry at all times. I dont know, maybe i will dip one to try it out and try to keep fan on that bud 24/7. Doesnt spraying alchohol on the buds affect the trichromes and thc? I like the tape idea, gonna do that for sure.

Honestly Jaybee, your problem isn't that hard.

If foliars are out, you need to drop some pyrethrin foggers. Easy peasy dude.

Set three of these off, exactly seven days apart:

Done.

you can knock them down with c02, turn your outtake off and set it on a timer to come back on in 2hrs and empty a 20lb tank in your room . I wouldnt go in that room until the fans come on thou, its completely void of air and you'll pass the fuck out

use the sns 217 spray its harmless to the plants make sure u spray the underneath good u can spray the whole plant for prevention too.

Nothing is that easy when you live in the third world... i did order one of these but will take few weeks to get to me.

Right now I have 1oz floramite and 3 no pest hot shot strips. Also have the canadian express spray. For everything very far along i used the no pest strips for couple dayz, now doing nothing for 2 weeks. Will use the fogger when i get it.

For plants in veg and moms i will use the floramite.

For plants in early flower will use the azamaz when i get it in a couple weeks.

Its not that bad of an infestation now, going to big clean this weekend too. And hopefully will be able to clear out all the mites dead and alive at least for a while.

Thanks for all the info everyone. Mites suck.

Hey Jaybee,
Just be sure with the floramite to follow the warnings it is great stuff but very strong.
It stays on the leafs for atleast 28 days.
And during that 28 days if you touch the plant wash your hands.
It works amazing. Just got to be careful.

its a shame someone cant breed a mite resistant strain, if you could mess about with DNA and all that stuff, introduce a gene from a plant that mites hate the taste of.
the super mites are caused by people not "hitting them hard" as jk calls it, if you mince about all you do is make the mites poorly, but when they recover they and their prodgeny are more resistant to the anti mite stuff. i am going to go back to natural predators, ive used them and they work to a degree, the problem ive had is the low humidity (35%) in my room suits the mites but not the predators who like it humid, the sm's dont like high humidity because it slows down their metabolism, they cant perspire as quick. but i shyed away for feer of bud rot, but having read what some of the senior farmers have been saying about higher (70%) rh, i am going to get some predators and increase the RH. i believe that the toxin in hot shot no pest breaks down at high temperatures, so you are ok smoking the weed, but not eating it.

i agree you don't need to worry about the mites after harvest. i like the tape idea though. one grow had mites so bad it looked like a haunted house in there. saw a few corpses later, but nothing much noticeable by the time it dried. do you trim before they dry or after? i just ask because by the time it dries, i doubt you'll notice it, but if you trim when wet, sometimes it's hard not to be saddened by anything touching your precious weed. he he.

I think someone who hates weed created mites. Really amazing what a problem these are for ganja growers around the world.

So much good advice in this thread, great resource for anyone with mites at any stage. Thanks for all the good info and help guys.

One last thought, I dont plan to use this trim for bubble hash...
