Found another old shirt from the Laytonville/Garberville/Hog Farm days.
This one came with a story;
which, of course, I don't remember;
went something like:
"This was the first plant to <whatever whatever whatever>,
and when it was ready the top cola was removed and taken to the closest cabin,
where a drawing was made, and then shirts were made--
an everybody got shirts <or whatever>..."

Well,
Spring has sprung--
and it's time to get the winter vegetables out...

I'm excited about your upcoming outdoor season as well. :) Does your season start as early as it ends late? I haven't followed it from the start last year, looking forward to doing that this year.
Are you going to do an espalier again, same or something different?
Click to expand...

I'm not gonna do an Espalier this year.

I have to, ah, downsize the work load;
and where it's located is on the fence (outside the garden)
is not the best spot:
different amounts of <not enough> sunlight on the east and west arms,
and the citrus tree leaves collect dust and dirt,
and the bamboo "rains" and turns it into mud,
and it gets on the Espalier;
the row just 2 feet in front of there is fine--
I'm excited too...

About half the hills have been sexed/thinned/pruned and males replanted--
waitin'...

2014 was the first time in my life I've ever bought seeds,
and the first time I've planted anybody else's seeds in over a quarter century.

I was so impressed with the new genetics last year:

(Fem) Chemdawg D X Girl Scout Cookies [Divine Genetics]
(Fem) Casey Jones X Girl Scout Cookies [Divine Genetics]
Moonshine Haze [Rare Dankness Seeds]
Farmer Mix 2014 [thcBay anonymous freebie]

that I kinda diversified a bit more:

[JFTR] I saved up all last year,
and had enough money to get the DG BubbaCookies;
and a Premium Membership to The Farm,
so I could edit the first post of this thread--
all the rest of the seeds were donated...

___________2015___________
(Fem) Forum GSC s1 [Divine Genetics]

PM session with a Farmer brought back some old memories:

Jackson State U???
<shudder> Just had the "anniversary" (wake);
no, never been there--
isn't that where the government farm is???...

When I was in the New York mountains,
I wintered at SUNY New Paltz '70/'71;
and when I was in the North Georgia mountains,
(at first) I wintered at the UOG Athens '75/'76...

----------------------------------------------------------

Oh, JACKSON!!! (not state, it's a town!!!).
Hell yes, everybody in the "chain gang" goes/went through Jackson;
Intake and Release Center,
plus ya went back there for medical/dental, ah "treatments".

Made a stop there for Habeas Corpus hearing.
Geez, going to court they put you in the tank with the gays/transsexuals/etc.--
lotta fun goin' to the chow hall...
---
[addendumb]
Was really glad they weren't doing executions when I was there,
you could walk by the "death house" when doin' laps in the yard;
they had moved "Ol' Sparky" from Reidsville to Jackson.

Georgia Power wouldn't let the state use their electricity to kill people,
so Jackson had it's own generator.
Even tho that generator wasn't tied into the rest of the prison;
folks told me that when they did an execution,
they "flickered" the lights in the entire prison;
just for the fun of it--
musta been real creepy...

---------------------------------------------------------

[edit] PM fest continues:

---------------------------------------------------------

10 years in Georgia (including the 3 in state custody [at least it wasn't the 85 or 35 years I'd been sentenced to])

They didn't want to rule on my habeas corpus (after a year!!!) because it would set a precedent and they wanted to keep me as an example, so they paroled me to California. They just didn't realize that California would release me from parole after 3 years and they never got their $25,000 fine, which really pissed 'em off; even did the extradition warrant thing that I had to fight here in court for a year.

Death row was inside, on the opposite side (same building as the intake and release center) the death chamber was a building all to itself [when I said up above we walk by it doin laps in the yard I shoudda said counter-clockwise laps "NASCAR rules"...Heh].

I spent almost every day in the legal library, and one day the (inmate) librarian asked me to take some law books to death row. I went (with pass) through all kinds of barred gates an' such getting to the other side. As soon as I got into the death row tank, and walked along the cells to my delivery (thinking the whole time of the Merle Haggard/Grateful Dead song "Sing Me Back Home") I really started freaking out and by the time I got to the cell and gave the guy his books I couldn't even look at him;
I'd already consciously decided not to look at his name on the pass--
just his cell number...

Not sure if my pics qualify, but interesting none the less. All on the same plant, ATA tundra. I had to cut off some fan leafs due to some nute damage. but ya get the picture. No topping or pinching on side branches whatsoever. 4th pic shows a weird leaf.

Flat stem on same plant. and two other pics of abnormalities. She smells like stinky baby poop mixed with rotten fruit and xylene or MEK chem smell. Last pheno I had like this gave me some serious petroleum nugs with an insane "up" high for an indica.

I was hoping for some sports this year from my IBL,
one variegated plant is all I got so far;
and it's a runt.

I did have two sets of twins (two plants from one seed),
one was a Strawberry Hash Plant and "typical" twins;
where one is very small and the other seems a bit stunted--
compared to the other Strawberry Hash Plants.

The other is a Doctor Jackie where both twins look pretty good--
gonna see what happens with them...

Most folks wouldn't "waste" the time or space on it,
which is exactly why I think it's a good experiment;
nobody knows anything about plants like that--
they're the first ones to get culled...

That thing popped out and it's first leaf set was 4 instead of two but one didn't branch out it just balled up. While tha other three stretched. It stank since it first had a leaf on it. It stinks so bad that it's almost nauseating. I just wish it would show some of them sex parts. It ain't got no sign of Wat it wants to be.
