Long overdue picture update.

Harvest went well. Lost a bunch to budrot, but that's what you get for having giant colas. Its a give n take. Not much can be done about the rot, so i'll not dwell on it.

A shot before they came off the sticks. The left side(AlienDawg) is de-fan'd in this pic, sorta.

DEADHEAD! by far, BY FAR, some of the best weed i've smoked. I hope to god I have a clone of her. We got mislabeled clones so i'm not exactly certain if the cuts we took and kept of the DH is of this exact girl....i fuckin hope so!

She was grown in the tent w/ subpar, to say the least, conditions. I'd love to rock a whole stadium of her..

For all that trimming, we deserve a mutha fuckin moment of silence for this small chronic break...

Still tryin to get the buds into an optimal curing range. They've started to turn over already, but just not as much as i'd like.

Loved that Platinum, running about 10 of her next round.

=========

Speaking of the next round..

http://i957.invalid.com/albums/ae53/sfzoo/stadium/IMG_7647.jpg

Seedlings in the foreground. Started 5 strains, 5 beans each. Also sprouted 40 Purple Urkles. Soon as I take cuts, they are flippin in the tent.
clones are right after and the bigger ones are several weeks into veg.

Little bit of a switch for this run. Cut the coco w/ perlite at a little more than 3:1. Maybe even closer to 4:1. *dizzlemix

Its super airy and i'm excited to see what the added exposure to oxygen will do w/ the rootball. http://i957.invalid.com/albums/ae53/sfzoo/stadium/IMG_7653.jpg

Some of the girls stayed in pure coco. Reason being, they were being xplanted from a 6x6 square of Roots Organic soiless mix. I was afraid that the difference in density will create dry/wet zones within the rootzone. Good environment for rot and pests.

SFVOG & AB

Check out this wierd mutation, or stress reaction is probably more like it.

Here is my DH and AD
the DH has never greened up as much as the others. I think i'ma boost the calmag for her and see how she does.
http://i957.invalid.com/albums/ae53/sfzoo/stadium/IMG_7664.jpg

the AD is the most vigerous Vegger, and a decent yielder.
http://i957.invalid.com/albums/ae53/sfzoo/stadium/IMG_7660.jpg

Here's the cuts we took a few weeks before harvest. A little too long in the cups....:
http://i957.invalid.com/albums/ae53/sfzoo/stadium/IMG_7671.jpg

Well that's it for Round 2. Few changes for Round 3. Stay tuned.:harvest:

SFZoo,

Looks like a great run! Purple madness! Did you reduce temps toward the end of the cycle?

Bummer on the bud rot. I have had many bouts of that in the past. It's a bitch! Always the biggest buds, too. I have that one Sour OG giant that I am concerned about watching for the rot for sure. How is your circulation? How bout day/nite temps and humidity? Do you know what you peak out at on night humidity?

Man, after hearing you go on about that deadhead, I may have to get some more of those beans again. My last batch I killed till they were good and dead. My bad.

What exactly are you talking about when you mention not in optimal curing range and turning over? You talking about the RH, and how fast it goes from moist to feeling a bit dry on the outside? Inquiring minds want to know....

Keep up the great work.

Thanks Shady, still tweaking every run. Not yielding as much as i'd like. Haven't put this one on the scale yet, but for sure the bubba side was thin. Due to smaller plant numbers and a lot of hiccups along the way. BUT, no complaining here. MJ has helped me in many ways. :harvest:

Could be. I was thinking this too. The lights were 24h, save for a couple days where the light cycle was all f'd up.

Have any input on weather i should keep her in veg a while longer?

No man, I didn't reduce temps...technically. It was a cold run throughout, so yes it was very cold, but not by design.

Night RH tends to stay around 68%. A bit high, but i'm not running sealed so i'm at the mercy my environment....FOG. I run a dehuey sometimes, but it only drops a few points.

Dude, the deadheads are sick. Such a complex high, so well balanced. The aroma is pure JuicyFruit, ready to smoke off the plant. although after a week cure the inhale became a lot smoother. Flavor was there from the chop though.
Didn't yield at all w/ her, due to the tent being all sorts of wacky. But i'm hoping to god that one of my clones is indeed that same strain. :angel

Hehe, prob just making up my own terminology.

I've been using this curing method.

So, when i say 'optimal' i'm referring to a precise RH%. Which i believe to be around 55%..just cause i'm in a moist climate.

And...when i say 'turnover', lol, i'm referring to aroma coming in. turning from that fresh plant smell over to that intoxicating kushy smell.

====

Thanks for droppin by fellas, next run comes soon.

Thanks man. I'm hoping to improve the AD yield. I think yield may have suffered a tiny bit due to all the tops.

budbrothers, mrdizzle thanks for dropping in..

dizz, i have 2 air kings on one side of a 8x11x6 room, ie No space. On the otherside, is my exhaust/filter.

However, I have considered adding circs under the shelves. I had a couple box fans circulating under the shelves at the end of the last run.

-------

Next run, running pretty light on the coco:perlite. I'm loving the fact that its so light. holds water well. just have to build the autodrip system sooner than later.

Got the lights running.
More strains: Alien Dawg & Bubba, SFVOG, DHOG, PlatinumKush(i think its actually bluedream or something similar), Trainwreck, DoubleUnderDawg(seed), ChemSis(seed). More strains in the tent, from seed as well.
Fewer plants, although i'm probably going to fill the gaps w/ 8wkrs a couple weeks after I flip the 10wkrs.
Testing Heavy15 lineup for the seedlings.
Flip in a week or so.

Thanks for looking Farmers :harvest:

Thanks, my friend.

Yeah, finally popped em. Actually, popped em a long while ago. Just never flowered em. Probably gonna pop a few more DUD and SISs. I hope to god i can both find something close to what you found, and then do it just as much justice as you did.

So, looks like the new forum changes makes this thread basically rubbish.

Very much thanks to those who've gave advice, cheers, props, criticism, and rep.

New round will be uploaded to the Farm and into a new thread.

Thank you for watching. See you soon.
